The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course

About
Located in the west valley, The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course (formerly known as the Legend at Arrowhead Golf Club) is an Arnold Palmer/Ed Seay-designed golf course with a traditional layout. The challenging course has six lakes creating water hazards on many of the holes and several doglegs. The difficult to read greens are undulating and in excellent condition. Each hole, except for one, has bunkering on the fairways or protecting the greens. The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course's signature hole is the par-4, 426-yard fifth hole. It calls for a shot off an elevated tee with water running along the right side of the fairway as well as next to the green.

Challenge
It’s all over for the public here. They went private. It’s too bad
Not in the best condition compared to the rest of the courses I played in the area. Needs some tender loving.care.
Challenging course
Loved the challenge of this course. Everywhere was in great shape. The greens are fast and good luck reading them. Enjoyed the challenge. We had a great time and played with a really nice couple. We will be back to play.
First time playing but will definitely come back.
Enjoyed playing Arrowhead. Even though we purchased a Hot Deal through Tee-off the starter let us out 30 minutes early! Great range and practice facility with a chipping and bunker area as well. Course and greens were in good shape. Greens were challenging to read with very few straight putts.
The parking lot needs a lot of work, a lot of un sanded divots in the fairway are cart divot containers were empty had to get filled ones at the turn But at least they had some ready to go. Bunkers could be edged out much better. I’m sure this course looked great when first opened but right now I think Arnold Palmer would totally disappointed on how it is now.☹️
Course is going down hill
When your drive is in the fairway you should not be hitting your 2nd shot off dirt, or compact mud.
Several greens had dead grass in many areas.
30 plus years
I’ve played this course since it’s grand opening and I used to really enjoy playing the Legends a great deal more in my earlier years. The layout is first rate. But, over the years and multiple changes of ownership, the greens have been shrunk in size and these years have been turned into put put greens, with silly undulations and cup placements on top of a mogul. Ridiculous or maybe it’s just Me?
Do Not Play
Extremely poor conditions. Taking advantage of winter rates to overcharge for horrible condition course. Greens are unplayable.
Scottsdale golfer
Had some first timers who enjoyed the more "challenging" course. Pace of play was good and we let 2 groups pass through, yet still played 18 in 4 hrs.
poor overseed
Golf course very brown. Little or no grass on the fairways. Greens spotty and bare. Whole golf course needs water and seed. Ball does not roll true on the greens. Will not be coming back.
Course in OK Shape
Course as far as fairways are concerned was in OK shape. Some of the greens were in rough shape and definitely require attention. Tee boxes were ok with some definitely requiring reshaping since they were domed finding it difficult to find a flat spot.
No Marshall's to keep pace of play going especially on a weekend and no ball washers.
Be aware, late afternoon times will result in finishing into the sun for the last 3-4 holes if you can make it before it gets dark.
All in all good layout, but definite room for improvements.
welcome the end cart path only
arrowhead is always just good enough to return to. love the lay out and challenges. the practice green was rolling fantastic, but did not translate to the greens on the course. neither did the tee boxes. why doesn't anyone roll the greens or tee boxes?? simple, inexpensive way to make some huge improvements to a golf experience. as long as the price stays below $100, this course is always worth the experience.
Legend at Arrowhead needs work...
Greens inconsistent and in some places unplayable. Hitting off dirt in many areas of fairway. We know overseeding was completed within the last month, but we would have expected much better conditions. Only received three starts because the staff was so nice. Pace of play was 4:45, should have been completed easily in 4-hours.
Lackluster
Golf course had been overseeded but honestly many areas it was hard to tell! There was no definition, tees, fairways and greens were in pretty rough shape. Bunker maintenance seemed non existent…..fairway bunkers are supposed to be “waste bunkers” which is fine however many green side bunkers appeared to be the same!
Geese had caused significant damage to many greens.
