About
Nestled at the base of the Superstition Mountains, Mountainbrook Golf Club offers a player-friendly course with beautiful views of mountains and desert hills. Given its location, the golf course is mostly flat, making it a nice walk. The layout combines that of a desert course and a mountain course for an interesting variety of holes and challenges. The fairways are relatively wide and some are lined with trees and the fairly large greens are sloped and fast. Sand bunkers are situated throughout the course and two lakes create water hazards that come into play on the back nine. Mountainbrook Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 16th, which has a dogleg left fairway and a green that is well guarded by bunkers and mounding.

Nice
Got my 1st Hole in one this round. Course was in good shape, pace of play was excellent.
They need an active marshall
Easy to find. Easy check in. Clean carts with sand bottles and you get ice at start. Started on time. Sign says play in 4 hrs or less but no active marshall to push people so don’t know how we can finish in time. Tees somewhat chewed. Fairways pretty good roughs ok bunkers pretty good. Played in 4:25. Cart guy came around telling us we had to be done by 6:30 but had to wait for one or two groups on every hole carts are in parking lot for us and can empty when done cheapest place to play this day
Disappointed
Here is a course that should be much better. We heard locals complain about management/ownership changes. The driving range was really beat up and dry. Greens were fine for a $50 course, but $125 was way too much. Food was limited, but tasted good. Pro shop was limited and small. We heard that three years ago, it was lush and green. Our experience was following a couple of days of rain and the fairways were dry, dusty, and yellowing in mid-March.
Maybe a rough overseed?
definitely good enough condition to play but for the price no.....should be discounted quite a bit
curfew
terrible job of course management, at one time we had 5 groups on 1 tee box. they also had a curfew as `to when the carts had to be back. we were not going to pay all that money to play 15 holes to get their carts back on time
Course was in bad shape Played here several times before but never this year and was always good. Would not pay the money to go back.
Awesome course
Great course! Only issue was getting there with an event in the area. Make extra time for travel to get there as lights and traffic don’t help.
Played 36 holes and would play again!
Not worth the money
I've played this course before, left much to be desired this time. Definitely not worth the $120 bucks to play this course. Some of the greens were scarred, bunkers were flooded, and fairways were painted. Pace of play was not great, four and a half hours +.
