About
Camelback Golf Club features two courses, Padre and Ambiente (formerly known as Indian Bend Course). The Ambiente Course underwent a major renovation in 2013. Making the course more eco friendly was one of the major goals of the renovation in addition to improving the layout's playability for a wider range of skill levels. The creatively shaped greens offer a variety of different putting options that present interesting risk-reward opportunities. The renovation added 100 acres of native desert and grass areas that add not only beauty but also require a third less water. Rolling terrain is the defining characteristic of the Ambiente Course, from the undulating fairways to dramatic drops in elevation. There are five sets of tees with forward tees that have easier approach angles and no forced carried, allowing even beginners to approach the golf course with confidence.

Great course
I highly recommend this course as it is in great shape and fun to play
Great Layout, Watch for Slow Play
I really like the layout of Ambiente, and the conditions of the course on April 5, 2025 were excellent. I'm just not a fan of 5+ hours for a round of golf. Especially frustrating because our cart's GPS kept calling us out for being behind on our time even though we had to wait for 4-7 minutes before every shot. And the group in front of us although not playing "ready golf" also had to wait on quite a few holes. Clearly the course marshals are ineffective if they check at all.
I like the course but the sand traps were terrible. Many had virtually no sand, like hitting off concrete. Unacceptable for a course that charges 150 for the late afternoon partial rounds and mid-200s for morning time.

I have played several times in the past, course was in the best condition ever. Wonderful experience.
Perfect Day
Course is in fantastic shape, greens rolled true, fairways were perfect. Great day to shoot your low round of the year.

The course was in terrific shape, always love the layout, spectacular views,. All in all the terrific time.

It was a great day of golf all around. Thoroughly enjoyed from the service personnel, to the facility, the course was in perfect condition.
Very nice
Really nice course. Completely over seeded which is unusual for this time of year in Arizona. Speedy greens and just terrific conditions. Ya gotta play it!
Just beautiful
The course was in great shape. Fairways, greens and tees were like a perfect carpet. Greens were fast, especially from above the hole. Oh yeah, and the scenery was gorgeous.
