Monument at Troon North Golf Club

About
The deserts of Arizona are the last place you'd expect to find an ode to the British Open but the Monument course at Troon North is a love song to the golf courses on the other side of the Atlantic, from the ability to play bump-and-run shots into greens into the names of some of the holes.
A round of golf on the Monument Course at the Troon North Golf Club kicks off on a par-4 hole that measures 444 yards from the Black tees. Things get long on the third hole, a par 5 that plays to 564 yards from the Black tee and is one of four holes that come in at over 500 yards from the Black tees.
The 18th hole on the Monument Course at the Troon North Golf Club will be a relative breeze, then, a par 4 that measures just 370 yards from the Black tees.

Bruh, you serious?
Layout kinda eh. The greens were rolling nice. Made 6 bird dawgs. Ate 6 hotdogs. Sunflower seeds in the greens. Cigar butts on the tees. Come on bruh.
Great Grass
The course was in unbelievable condition. The grass was perfect on every square inch of the course. I will say that the Pinnacle course is more difficult than the Monument course, You get what you pay for.
Inconsistent pacing, but nice
(Pinnacle course) The course conditions were absolutely fabulous—easily one of the best-manicured courses I’ve played. The fairways were pristine, the greens rolled fairly true, and the overall upkeep was top-tier.
The layout is both challenging and rewarding, favoring a target-golf style that demands accuracy. If you don’t hit it straight, you’ll find yourself in trouble. One key thing to note: you do not return to the clubhouse after nine holes. So if you were hoping for a bathroom break or a quick snack at the turn, you’re out of luck—the next restroom isn’t until the 15th tee.
Pacing & Flow: While we finished in 4 hours and 30 minutes, the pace felt inconsistent. Playing as a threesome, we were frequently pushing a foursome ahead while a twosome trailed behind us. This created an awkward rhythm—sometimes feeling rushed to hit a shot, only to wait for the group ahead to clear. Given the 10-minute tee time intervals and the premium price point, you’d expect a smoother flow of play.
Troon
Probably one of the best kept courses that I have seen. Tee decks to greens, all were in fabulous condition.
Beautiful scenery
Course is very challenging and in great shape except for the greens. Most of the greens are not in the shape they should be in for the price. I know they get a lot of play but they need more attention a lot of bare spots and debris from mowing with divots throughout from lazy golfers.
Fun and beautiful course
Worth the money, will definitely go back and play both courses.
Nice course, hot day
Hard to enjoy this lovely track when the temps exceed 110. Would like to play when it’s cooler.
Over rayed
What happened to golf in AZ?!?!? $300 for golf in September. The pinnacle course has way too many holes where I couldn’t hit driver because of the desert breaks in the fairway.
Course could be better than a muni.
Played Pinnacle a day prior and was impressed with course conditions and layout.
Monument was a different story. Upon viewing the first green my concerns began. The greens were covered in sand and the amount of unrepaired ball marks were astronomical. It appeared that not a single played had repaired a mark anywhere.
Also my cart GPS system was not functional. A member of my foursome contacted the club house and we were assured another cart would sent out before we reached the next green. Needless to say 4 holes later we called again.
During our original call , we expressed that since we were almost the last group out today, could we change to Pinnacle since we knew conditions were soo much better. They denied our request saying " there's maintaining course". Now onward to the course. Greens remained terrible for remainder of round.
In the end at cart drop off I asked why course was in such terrible condition and Pinnacle was beautiful. Reply was Pinnacle just reopened after months of closure.
So while on course was closed the other took all play and some how the ownership.thought a over priced $200 green fee was warranted.
Definitely not up to Troon standards. There are much better tracks in the area and I would avoid this location.
