The Talking Stick Golf Club, designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, offers two uniquely different courses that each offer many options according to your playing skill. The Piipaash course (previously known as South at Talking Stick Golf Club), with its tree-lined fairways and raised greens defended at the sides offers a more straightforward style of play than the O'odham Course (formerly known as North at Talking Stick Golf Club).

A round of golf on the Piipaash Course at the Talking Stick Golf Club kicks off on a par-4 hole that measures 405 yards from the Black tees. Three long par-5 holes ensures that power golfers will get their kicks, with the fifth hole coming in at 516 yards, the 1fourth measuring 541 and the 16th playing to 548. The round of golf concludes on a relatively shorter par 4 that measures 323 yards.

After a round of golf on the North Course at the Talking Stick Golf Club, head back to the Wildhorse Grille for drinks and a bite to eat.

Poor Communication

Wouldn’t have expected a premium facility to not communicate it was a transition mess. Poor experience for Holiday Tradition because of no communication..

Great overall experience

My brother and law and I had an amazing time playing our first round of desert golf. Course was in awesome shape given December. Location close to the casino made for a great day.

Wide fairways and rough everywhere

You're always hitting from grass here which is great after playing a dozen courses in the valley with tight fairways and desert runoffs. There's rough everywhere in case you miss the wide fairways.

This was my preferred side of the 2 tracks since there's doglegs and water comes into play on a few holes. If you enjoy hitting driver off the tee and don't have the best control with the driver, play here. 11 was a fun hole - it's a dogleg left with water running along the entire left side. 18 was a fun approach to a tight green with bunkers on the left and water on the right. There are deep bunkers on the sides of the greens of a few par 3's.

Sandwich house at the turn was great, really diverse menu instead of just hot dogs, but I didn't see any signs up on hole 8 or 9 to call in orders, might have been more of an after-round thing. The range before the round was grass not turf.

Staff everywhere was friendly and helpful. My group had slow golfers and we wound up 2 holes behind the group ahead of us at the turn, I informed the ranger of the situation at the turn and asked if we could split off into a twosome which he allowed. We were able to complete the back 9 in under 90 minutes as a result. Thank you.

bait and switch raincheck offer

My wife and I booked this course on golf now while staying at the resort. I booked it well in advance and had a 1 pm start time. We got set up and proceeded to 1st hole. Bob the ranger was very helpful in explaining the course rule and giving a few tips regarding the course. He was very friendly. We went off as a threesome, but quickly became bogged down between holes. after almost two hours and only making it through 5 holes, Bob came by an offered us a full raincheck for the round due to the fact that an 80 person outing had gone out immediately before us. We accepted as we figured the raincheck could pay for our round we had scheduled for two days later on the other course. We left the course and I proceeded to speak to the assistant manager(Pete I believe). He informed me that rain-checks are the responsibility of Golf Now and he couldn't or wouldn't do anything to help me come to a resolution. HE seemed very smug and not at all interested in helping. His suggestion to go out and finish round was a joke. Bob the ranger was very apologetic and asked if I would like to play with him early in the morning the next day( unfortunately we had plans already). I proceeded to cancel my Thursday tee time. I was not about to give this course more money after being treated so poorly. I believe Golf Now was going to at least refund the 2nd tee time. The bag guys and other staff seemed very attentive and friendly. My wife and I were very excited to stay and play at Talking stick, but the golf experience was very negative.

Slowest play due to an outing - they said we could get our money back but had to contact GolfNow to do that.

Golf course would have given us our money back but said we had to go through GolfNow . I attempted to call GolfNow and was on hold for 1 hour and 25 minutes with no answer at all.
Not happy about this customer service.

Construction on site so no clubhouse. No GPS on carts which at this price point is ridiculous. Course was in excellent condition as was pace of play.

Unexpected

This is a friendly course with wide fairways and forgiving rough. Entrance and parking lots are still under Cindy but no real issues

Not worth the money for that course

Course was an amazing condition, but absolutely no challenge and not worth the price for that kind of layout. Also, you can find much better courses with better challenges for half of the price and also in amazing condition.

Talking Stick

The greens weren't ready for play and carts were only allowed on cart paths. Had I known, I wouldn't have booked the course. There are a lot of courses in the area that I would go and play, before I played here again.
