Palmetto Golf Course

About
Palmetto Golf Course gets its name from the beautiful palmetto trees that line the fairways and meandering waterways. Although they add to the scenery, the trees double as a challenging element of the course since they can also affect shots. The golf course was designed by Dick Wilson, who has designed many other courses in the area. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes of the course, including the notable signature hole, which a 435-yard par-4. There are also sand bunkers strategically placed throughout. The Palmetto Golf Course facility boasts lighted practice facilities, including a practice putting green and driving range.

Ball thieves
Great course, players and grounds keepers terrible. Beware, your ball will be taken by either another player on the opposite fairway or a grounds keeper…… Play cheap balls. My ball was along the rough of the second fairway and a I had to chase down the employee that picked up my ball…..
Always enjoy the course
Friendly staff
Good value in the restautant
The worst greens I’ve ever played
This place is TRASH. Dave you’re money. Greens are furry super unkept. The fairways are trash tee boxes trash, the area around the greens trash. I rather play any other course. They got new golf carts instead of a new greenskeeper.
Price was right
Using golfpass points made the price to play much more reasonable. Course is in good shape considering there had not been much rain this winter. Pace of play was good.
P;eased with the condition of the course
Greens and tee boxes are in great shape. It's been very dry so Fairways are a little light on grass but overall in good shape. Carts are updated with GPS, a very nice feature. Gave the course 3 stars for off course amenities but really needed a N/A since I didn't use any of them.
Excellent value / quality / Friendly ratio
Very friendly staff, perfect course layout, Greens ar very good near perfect, however Fauways could be greener.
Otherwise a perfect golf location , on beautiful courses
good condition with no rain
Course has been updated, especially from the forward tees (shorter) which helps us higher handicap players. Greens, bunkers, and tee boxes are in very good shape. There has been almost no rain in South Florida so the ball rolls a lot.
Course has been updated
I hadn't play Palmetto in a couple of years and was impressed with the updated condition. Bunkers and greens and tee boxes have been redone and in great shape. i was also happy to see that the yardage from the forward tees has been shortened to make it more playable.
Rude
Rude golfers in front of us. Played extremely slow and parked their carts too close to the front of the greens. Ranger needs to get involved.
Otherwise a fun time on a nice course!
Hit ‘em straight “if you can”
A little windy, actually a lot windy, but in some holes, it helped in some holes. It hurt quite a bit. great course and a bit narrow, but it makes you a better player. You know you got hazards on the right hazards on the left or somebody else’s fairway on either side so as I said, it keeps you Focused. The greens were great. The bunkers well kept the water don’t know how deep it was but I lost three ball. overall a great course it happens to be my home course and I happen to love it. I play a lot around South Florida and California and this course stands next to each one of those.
Brutal
This place absolutely sucks. Pace of play is terrible stacking up tee box. Course is in bad shape. Staff is unaware of anytbing here. Foursomes won’t let you pass them.
Much improved
The greens have improved drastically in the last month. They are a bit hairy (and slow) but I assume it needs to grow in a bit before they can cut it too close and roll it.
Tee boxes need more wore as many are almost bald.
However, things are progressing in the right direction
Palmetto
Good course. Early tee time led to fast play. Nice greens. Would go back any time.
