Stallion Mountain Golf Club is conveniently situated just minutes from the Strip, but this Las Vegas golf course feels much further away thanks to a scenic landscape of towering, mature pines and six sparkling lakes. Over the years the course has hosted several major events including Frank Sinatra's Celebrity Classic and Las Vegas Invitational. It has a versatile layout that offers plenty of variety and shot values, which makes it appealing for a range of different skill levels. The par 4s and par 5s require long, accurate drives but the approach shots will test your iron game. The golf course also features undulating fairways lined with bunkers and water hazards come into play on 10 holes. In addition to the golf course, Stallion Mountain boasts a comprehensive practice facility that includes a 16-acre driving range with 40 tees, five practice putting greens, two chipping greens, and two practice bunkers.

Ok course, made it very hard with no yardage markers

Course was good, tougher than a normal course. One thing I hated they had no yardage markers at all. Lost multiple balls and strokes because of this. So take a range finder

Besides the greens, the course was in poor condition. I know an out of towner is going to pay more but the price was ridiculous for what you got. Staff was awesome!

An Okay Course

This course is fairy easy, wide fairways and fast greens. The condition of the course was a bit disappointing, super dry and no rough to speak of. There a few interesting hole and the par 3s where fun, you can get into some trouble there, no ball washers on any hole. The staff was friendly and helpful, don't plan on eats or drinks after 5:00pm since, as all three courses we played, the whole place is locked up. Your best bet is to use Golf Now for any Las Vegas courses since they have a resident's fee and a non resident's fee, which can run 2x resident's fee. Over all its a fun course to play for the intermediate-intermediate+ player.

smells history

one can tell this place was the place back in the day. clubhouse is huge to host the early Las Vegas Open. hosted golf channels 'big break'. seems like a lot of courses that cost less than a benji in Vegas have maintenance issues. Played Vegas 5 days and this place was better than most...is your game worth a $100 round ? cuz that looks like where we're heading. Remember, we still have to feed the kids, house/car payment and keeping the dog happy.

Unexpected Problems

The actual course was in great shape however there was no running water anywhere on the course which meant no functional rest room facilities. We were told the rest rooms on the course we not affected, but that was not true. No beverage or food service available. No attempt by the staff to offer any type of compensation for the lack of facilities. Rough first day of our golf trip to LV!

Nice course

I really enjoyed this course. It has a nice mix of par 3’s, 4’s, and 5’s and the layout it very nice. It is both challenging and forgiving so that you can enjoy the day even if you aren’t hitting it as perfect as you would like. The staff was both friendly and helpful. Saw some wildlife too that was a bonus. A couple of roadrunners came by to visit. Nice course and a good price!

Great Vegas Value

Played here on a Thursday morning with rental clubs. Decent set of Callaway clubs, about what you’d expect from rentals.
Course is in great shape for the money. Greens were a bit long and on the slower side but fairways were great. Bunkers have granular sand in them. Few water holes that are fun but challenging if you end up on the wrong side (which I always did) and have to chip towards the water!
Highlight of the round was pairing up with Dave who works on the course. He showed me the course layout and how to play each hole. Great guy to play the round with!

Great value for midweek golf!!

Second time playing course and had a second great day !! Pace was great, was Monday so probably helped, some bare spots off fairways but greens where receptive to long approach shots which isn’t always the case at a lot of the desert courses, and they rolled true, not the fastest but good shape. Food was good in bar and staff very friendly, will be back for sure.
