Don't waste your time or money
Don't waste your time or money
This course was aweful,
GPS in cart didn't work,
no sand in sand traps, greens aweful,
poor service in restaurant,
5 1/2 hour round, always waiting.
Easy Front Nine, Difficult Back Nine
This course was a nice course overall. The check-in process went fine, and although it took about 5 minutes to get to the first tee box, the signage was plentiful and easy to follow. When we arrived, we were the first group to tee off. The starter gave us a lot of information about the course, not all of which we could’ve remembered. He did make it very clear though, that slow play is not tolerated. The GPS on the carts had a bar at the bottom of the screen. The bar was red, either red, with the number of minutes you were behind, or it was green, with the number of minutes you were ahead. On the first hole, even though it went pretty quickly, we were already 3 minutes behind. The thing is though, for the entire rest of the round, we were never behind. My buddies and myself think they program it in to where everybody runs behind on the first hole, just so it will grab people’s attention and let them know to DEFINITELY stay on pace (which worked for us).
This was certainly a course of two different 9s. The front nine was relatively straightforward and not too complicated, whereas the back nine was completely opposite. There were several shots that were blind, where you couldn’t see over the hill, or around the corner. And it seemed like there were more water holes and bunkers on the back. Course knowledge would certainly be helpful at a course like this, as you’d know what to expect. My scores reflected that as I shot a 42 on the front, but a 50 on the back.
All in all though, I would play this course again, especially since as a veteran, I got a pretty good break on the green fees. The weather was perfect, and not too windy. The staff was very friendly as well.
Falcon Ridge
Nice course. 4 bling tee shots, but everything else was great
Temp about 100 F. Coarse shows some drying of fairways, which is expected at this time of year. Greens good. It was windy yesterday. Coarse has some really interesting, challenging holes. You cannot walk this coarse, too many big hills.
My only criticism is that there is no driving range, so no warm up.
Be Aware
The course itself is in great shape. But WOW, the amount of blind shots is staggering. Make sure you look over the course before you play. A lot of tee boxes look straight up a hill, you got no idea what’s at the top because there’s no 3D rendering. It just looks straight. You May want to leave your driver at home ( a 5I was more than enough). Lots of ups/downs/left/right. Front 9 is surrounded by houses for the most part, the back 9 was designed by the Wolf Creek people. Do your homework before you play here and you’ll do a lot better.
Absolute Gem!
Stopped to play this course on the way to Bryce Canyon in UT!
Falcon Ridge was an Absolute Gem, been wanting to play after passing by it last year. Staff was great, Lady at the Pro Shop checking us in was very welcoming which started the experience off great, Bernie the starter was the perfect starter for this place, and the Course was a Beautiful Layout with plush fairways & almost perfect greens! Falcon Ridge is Legit and for the price made a perfect round of golf. Lastly we had lunch at the Scotty's and it was delicious plus the service was great! Thanks for the awesome morning!|
Love this course
Great, fun course. Very friendly staff. This course is a challenge but fair and very interesting., you’ll love it. They said a driving range is coming next year.
Perfect … but no driving range
Very good layout
Good staff
But no driving range
Putting green only
Great track
The course is a great track, pace of play was off by a little, but the course marshals did not get all concerned. Would be nice to see the clubhouse be opened later then 5 pm, as golf ends near sunset. I would think good monies are being lost as many people enjoy and nice supper and drink after a great round of golf...
Otherwise great round. We will be back!
Long Day
Very slow, large corporate groups. Did not inform us that large customers, are not held to same rigid rules.
Several blind shots. Require you trust the cart GPS! One could easily hit group in front if one of group is not in cart!!
Good course
Super short is my only complaint. Pretty friendly layout.
