Farmstead Golf Club is a 7,242-yard par-72 layout on McLamb Road in Calabash, N.C. and is among the newest courses to open in the Grand Strand. Farmstead also has the unique distinction of having the region's only par 6! That's right, the 740-yard 18th hole is sure to become one of the most talked about in the Grand Strand.
Farmstead was designed by Willard Byrd and David Johnson and features a rare par-6. The 18th hole measures 767 yards from the back tees, as well as 679 from the white and 635 from the ladies' red tees.

Course no longer exists
Developer bought the land and building houses. Golf course no longer exists
Great course gone to the dogs
Since this local favorite course is closing soon, course maintenance is very poor at best. The greens are hard as concrete. No way to hold approach shots. Stupid. Locals said greens have not been watered in over a week.
Must have been a great course in the past. No longer…….
Course closing - what a shame
Great course to be gone. At. Least I can say I played it!
Sorry this course is closing
Best course conditions I have played in months. Wish this course was not closing. Great layout and best putting greens.
TOO BAD THE COURSE IS CLOSING
all was good. good luck with building all the new houses when the course closes!
Golf at the beach
The course from tee to green is in great shape.Having said that I have heard they are closing the course In November . The greens were the best I played this week after playing five rounds. They roll true and run around a 10. The 18th is unique as it is a par 6. If you get the chance play this course before it closes for good.
Top notch staff
Nope that's how you treat golfers. Complimentary range balls, no extra Rider fees, attendants taking your clubs to the golf cart, and cold water coming around every 3 to 4 holes.
And to top it off a par 6 767 yd final hole to close the round. I absolutely would play here again.
Nice course
Don't like these courses that when you come around at the turn you hit a big group and have to wait.
Very good course sad that it is closing in October for good
Fairways and greens were in excellent shape pace of play was good..shot very well
Great course.
Good shape. Forgiving and challenging at the same time. Greens rolled true and were in good shape. Wish it wasn’t closing down.
Great course
Awesome course for the hot deal of $60. Tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. Greens were a bit sandy but very fast. Overall a great course in the NMB area. Can’t miss. Nicest course around.
Fantastic
Haven’t played greens like that in a long time. Fantastic from the starter to the club house. An absolute treat to play if you’re in the area, these folks are killing it!
Golf Trip
Course was in excellent condition. Greens were fantastic. Tee boxes and fairways were also great. Will be back to play again.
Great condition
This was a very enjoyable course, good design, great pace of play, great conditions tee to green and friendly staff. You won’t be disappointed.
Farmstead Golf Links was an exceptional course, always in top condition with challenging yet enjoyable play. Head pro Adam Oliva was outstanding, offering expert guidance that greatly improved my game. His friendly and professional approach made every visit special. It’s with deep sadness that I learned of the club's closure and his departure from the area. This place was more than a golf course; it was a community where friendships thrived and the love of golf flourished. Adam's dedication and passion will be greatly missed.
