Bear's Best Las Vegas

Very upset that this is probably my last time playing this beautiful golf course because in about a month or so it will shot down for renovation.
Going to private

Not worth the time or money. The course has been sold, and is in crappy condition and is NOT worth more than $20 to play it. This course is closing in June and is being torn up and revamped and going private. They do not care about conditions right now.

Love this course. Going to miss playing here when it goes private later this year. Enjoyed it very much, even though it was one of the most expensive courses we played on this trip

Always fun to play BB and this was no exception. Some of the tee boxes were chewed up pretty good and the greens were slightly inconsistent but neither was that much to dampen such a great course.

Main bad news is that the starter informed us this course is going private and will close for this conversion at the end of June. Get your Bears Best rounds in while you can!!

I love this course up in the mountains. Beautiful homes and views. The course is fun with 18 Famous holes developed by Jack N. They said it’s going private soon, so go before they shut it down to us regular golf folks. 😜

Play this fun and challenging course while you can. It’s been acquired and is going private after a huge renovation.

One of the Marshalls literally stole my ball once I teed off. Weird. Course was in trash shape.

Fun golf course. Not walkable. The greens were bumpy and were in need of rolling. Not Championship Quality.

We thoroughly enjoyed playing. Staff was great and pace of play was as very steady w very little waiting on group in front.

Bears Best is one of the nicest golf courses in the Las Vegas area. If you did not know, the 18 holes on this golf course are modeled based on some of the signature holes from various Jack Nicklaus golf courses across the country. It is quite challenging but fair, and the golf course is set within the affluent "The Ridges" community where every surrounding home and neighborhood is beautiful. It's just 15-20 mins off the Vegas strip in the Summerlin area and all the holes are properly maintained with lush fairways and well managed greens. The greens played a bit fast the day I played (probably around 11-12 on the stimpmeter) but fair nonetheless. I really wanted to play this course one last time before it is no longer available to the public. Rumor had it that this golf course will turn private this summer (June/July 2025), and after talking to the staff they had confirmed it. So play this golf course while you still can. You will not regret it.

Course was in great condition with fast smooth greens in the middle of winter! Pace of play was super - we finished in just under 4 hours.
