Great land - Terrible design
Pros: Amazing site & views. Great conditioning. Friendly staff. Nice facility.
Cons: The worst layout & design that I've ever seen. Elevated greens surrounded by stone walls & steps. Stone walls everywhere. Required to hit shots over stone walls immediately in front of you. Dangerous. Blind shots on many holes. Too much slope on many greens.makes putting or holding shots near impossible. What a waste of a beautiful golf site.
Lots of Blind Shots; Rough is High;
Hadn't played in 15 years & you need to play with someone who has played the course. Lots of blinds shots & tall rough. Greens in great shape. Just a course you have to play a few times in order to score well.
Shot makers course
This place will test you with its angles, hills and difficult pin positions. Must be patient to score here as this place requires you to work the ball around the golf course. Enjoyed the conditions as the greens were pure. Rough was thick and gnarly and reminded me of an old USGA event.
Perfection
Having grown up playing this course every day was truly amazing. This course offers it all and a simple wind change or pin change can make it a completely new course. I will always recommend "the rock" to everyone and anyone
