It's your "lucky day" at #12, advance up 150 yards from the tee, making this par 5 a poor excuse for a par 4, but do not pass go and do not collect 200 dollars Photo submitted by cbcruz305024 on 04/21/2017

On #4 the bunker, the fairway, the greenside rough have combined forces to become one super bunker. Photo submitted by cbcruz305024 on 04/21/2017

So, Mr Deer Creek staff member, you're trying to tell me all the courses in the Metro Denver area look like this... yeah.. sure. Photo submitted by cbcruz305024 on 04/21/2017

Disastrous Conditioning
Deer Creek is a fun layout absolutely spoiled by a complete lack of interest in maintenance. It’s so bad that I might even suggest it is dangerous. Allow me to explain.
Greens are dry and bumpy and very firm with large dead spots. Rather than fix the issue, they simply put the pins in spots that’s still have grass. They badly need some love.
Fairways are worse. Huge dead spots everywhere. We had to play the ball up as the odds of finding a decent lie were low. Very common to get crazy bounces as large sections of fairways are akin to landing a ball on a driveway. There are some areas they roped off. So rather than fix the problem, they just take an area out of play.
Bunkers are awful. Most are full of rocks. Some have too much sand, some hardly any.
Deer Creek golf course meanders back and forth across Deer Creek and contains many other water hazards/swampy areas. There are bridges across creeks and swamps that are in such a state of disrepair as to be dangerous. Rather than send someone out to replace a rotted wooden plank (which would be inexpensive and take minutes) they have just spray painted the hole in the bridge yellow and put out a cone. There are several places where they have done this.
The driving range is closed and looks like a fallow field, ready for its next crop rotation. The chipping green is destroyed, the putting green is brown. No course control to be found, no drink cart.
Worst, they still charge similar rates to every other course in the area. $55 (walking) for this? It is September—there are no excuses—no other course in CO is like this.
Golfers of CO: Play anywhere else. Every other course is better.
Needs Work
Love the layout at Deer Creek. However, something is up as the course was in very poor shape. First par 5 has a giant sand spot near the green (not a bunker but should be) and there were numerous problems with course quality in general. Number 9 is completely roped off as ground under repair across the entire fairway. Good to see the work beginning but it needs more than that to get it where it can justify $70 (with cart).
It looks like someone has been skimping on water and maintenance, with COVID I want to give the benefit of the doubt, but the conditions of the course were below average at best.
Good track, needs a lot of TLC to get it back to where it once was.
Course Conditions
Golf course is in poor condition & is need of improvement. I will not play this course again unless their maintenance practices improve course conditions.
Challenging course great value.
Fun course. Plenty of challenging holes. They load it up so often pace of play is a bit slower than other courses. If you are in a hurry, you might want to play elsewhere. Definitely not a deal breaker unless you are really time constrained.
It’s a fine layout
The staff was great, in all instances. EXCEPT for when I was asked if I was Scott Hastings. Just kidding. Don’t get me wrong, Scott Hastings seems like a great guy on tv. I’m just not ready to be mistaken for a guy that old -but that’s my fault lol. Brittany in the bar was both attractive and friendly.
The course was in great shape. Shot in the 70s while being as rusty as humanly possible. That is a testament to the course conditions, as well as Brittany’s pleasant shot send-off before my round.
Great value. Go there. Play well.
A lot to learn
This course was in very nice shape and well maintained. Staff was all very friendly, especially the starter. Virtually all the holes are played in/near the creek bottom, but it is quite manageable, even for new players. Short and mostly friendly to the recreational amateur. Would definitely play again and learned a lot by playing it.
John
Course in good shape. Staff friendly and helpful. The group in front of us played slow. Need a Marshall to monitor pace of play. The general manager thanked us for coming out. He’s a great guy and appreciated our business.
Don't book on Golf Now w/ this course
booked at tee time 6 days in advance only to arrive and be told by the course they have a tournament scheduled. There response...."Sorry, your problem w/ Golfnow", no trying to help or make it better. The pro in the shop has zero customer care experience. Go to Arrowhead and do yourself a favor
A somewhat hard course
I have played here alot and think it is very nice and well laid out i enjoy coming here and the views are awesome too
Golf
Played deer creek golf course. It was suppose to be $40 ( cart included!)on golf now. Payed for two people and the course charged me 110. Called them after I noticed this and they gave me a spill about you are getting charge for the carts. But on the app said cart included. Went back after 26 mile drive and the refunded me
Golf now ditched me
Last minute I got an email from golf now cancelling the appointment
Golf Now is unreliable
Great Course, terrible customer service
Deer Creek is a beautiful track. 18 great holes that will make you think. But I might never come here again because of the way we were treated after they apparently “overbooked”. It was our fault though according to the proshop...we received a cancellation notice ON OUR WAY TO THE COURSE, and then they charged us more and didn’t offer any kind of help. Luckily we were able to find a two some to play with. I now understand why reviews are low here.
Great early season condition
The course was in great condition for it being early in the season. Greens were fast and smooth. Played 18 holes in 4hours and 15mins. Kind of a strange layout going out and back along C470 but all in all was a great day.
Early season
Course in best shape I have played early season at this course. New GM Doug doing a fantastic job!
Deer Creek Golfing
this is an excellent course and can play very long, the par 3's are challenging from the back 2 tees. I enjoyed this course very much and will be a returning customer.
Slow and sloppy
The course was cart path only, causing extremely slow play, 2 1/2 hours for the first 9. We only finished 14 holes before dark. Lots of standing water.
If they are going to have cat path only, please set the tee times further apart so play goes faster.
Good day
Considering the current situation it was great. Played in under 4 hours. Very cheery staff.
