Coyote Run Golf Course

About
Located just 40 minutes from downtown Chicago, Coyote Run Golf Course is one of the area's best golf values. At just under 6,478 yards from the back tees, the course is challenging enough for the scratch golfer but gentle enough for less advanced players to approach with confidence. Each of the three tees offers a unique look and feel, providing plenty of variety. Water plays a prominent role on the golf course, coming into play on a total of 11 holes beginning with the opening hole. The tee shot on this par 4 requires a carry over water to a generous landing area. Careful course management and skillful approaches to the sloped greens are the key to doing well on this layout. Coyote Run G.C. also boasts a lighted driving range with grass tees and four target greens, practice putting and chipping greens, and even a three-hole practice course.

Very Windy
While not her longest golf course around, Coyote Run with all of its bunkers and water hazards can be very challenging if it is windy, which it was when I played. Very early in the season but the greens rolled good, a little slow but good.
Ideal muni
Superb condition for February. Better than most at peak season. Pace of play is not an issue this time of the year. Well balanced, front and back and provides the opportunity to play every club in the bag. Affable staff.
Course is in better condition now than most other courses in summer
Loving the sand
From the clubhouse to starter everyone very nice and genuine the sand traps are the best kept traps by far for any public course they’re as good as most country clubs. Not a long course but nice layout and course is always in great shape. Easy walkable course played it under 3 hours walking
Mr
Great day in November. Course was in fabulous condition. Was paired with one of the sweetest women ever. She made it most enjoyable.
