Lauder Golf Club

About
Opening in 1896 and designed by legendary British Open champion Willie Park, Royal Burgh of Lauder Golf Club proudly stands by its claim as one of the best nine-hole golf courses in the whole of Scotland.
Situated in the Scottish Borders, just outside the town of Lauder and a 30-minute drive to Edinburgh, Royal Burgh of Lauder Golf Club offers players a sloping parkland layout that will not just challenge golfers of all levels, but also dazzle them with stunning views of the Lauderdale District.
The nine-hole run can be played twice from diverse pin settings, making an 18-hole round at Royal Burgh of Lauder not just a possibility, but a reason for excitement. When played at 18, the course will play at more than 6,000 yards, and give golfers a true test for their games. Holes with names like "The Quarry" and "Rocky Lynn" will dazzle golfers not just with their challenging qualities, but also with their scenic qualities and immaculately groomed greens and fairways.
A golf course with an incredible history, the club was shut down during World War II, not to reopen again until 1963. In the nearly 50 years since its reintroduction, the club has acquired a loyal membership. Still, visitors are welcomed at Royal Burgh of Lauder Golf Club, which is an important part of the Scottish Borders golf experience. Green fees for visitors can run as low as £15 for an all-day pass.
