First time at Aboyne.
Finally managed to get a round in at Aboyne whilst on holiday. We played in near perfect conditions, dry , sunny with a little bit of wind. Still playing off winter mats unfortunately, but totally agree with. Struggling with the pace of parkland greens as we're used to links courses, however they were in superb condition. Well done to the greenkeepers and the staff for the condition of the course. Also to the staff who made us very welcome. Thanks and looking forward to returning to Aboyne.
Beautiful Course!!
Wow! What a course! The greens were immaculate and beautifully kept.
We will definitely be back. My husband said it was his favourite course for a long time.
This course although par 68 is challenging
Great condition with good greens.
A really good holiday course with plenty of challenging holes particularly on the back 9
A friendly and welcoming golf club
Wonderful course
The first 9 holes or so are fantastic, course was the best condition I’ve seen anywhere, greens were immaculate. The back 9 or so seem a bit like a different course and the holes are more interesting. Again course conditions were great, it just gave some real variety to the round. Surrounded by the mountains, the surrounding scenery is a picture. We were even joined by a lizard on the 6th greeen ! Will be going again
Stunning course
Lovely course always in excellent condition and the back nine throws up a few challenges and club is nice with friendly staff
Tuesday Golf
Damp start to the day, weather wasn't great, few showers but course was tip top all the way round. Greens werent slow in the wet weather, would be a good challenge on a dry day.
Course of two half’s parkland to big in with then highland/moorland to finish. Great condition and lovely welcome in clubhouse.
Fantastic Course
Fantastic course to play. Quite difficult if you are not straight off the tee. Greens, fairways etc all in fantastic condition and greens were rolling amazingly well and fast for an inland course. Highly recommend to any level of golfer to play here
Weekend with family
Course was playing off winter tees, with mats to be used on fairways and first cut. 1 hole was out of action but there were 18 holes. The course was in very good condition despite the weather recently and the greens were some of the best I’ve played on. New winter layout was easy to navigate and the holes are varied and enjoyable. Sunny when we played, all enjoyed it and it was excellent value. Would recommend
Great course
First time playing here!
Had a very friendly welcome in the clubhouse before we played, from all bar and waiting staff, and had a lovely lunch before we went out to play.
Enjoyed the golf and thought the course was in great condition. The pace of play from hole 8 onwards was unfortunately very slow, which was a little frustrating.
The first 9 holes and the 2nd 9 holes are also like two different golf courses! Enjoyed the front 9 a lot, but found the back 9 very challenging, although the scenery is spectacular!
Would come back although I may just ask if I can play the front 9 twice next time! ;-)
Beautiful course. Well maintained.
Grass all in excellent condition.
Course takes a major change in character at hole 10, becoming very rugged and wild.
Beatiful course and beautiful views.
Great condition in April
Pro very helpful. Straight out to play, good pace. Some interesting holes and long pat 3 to start and finish.
Fantastic Course
It's probably the 4th or 5th time I've played the course but I think this might be the best condition I've seen the course! Greens were like putting on carpets which for October is extremely impressive.
Had a lovely meal in the clubhouse as well.
Will be back next year for sure
A great Al round course
Fantastic course, some tricky holes requiring good course management.
Fast and true greens.
