Ladybank Golf Club

About
Ladybank Golf Club is situated amidst heather, pines, and silver birch trees that provide a valuable habitat for a diverse range of flora and fauna. Red squirrels, which are in decline in the UK, can be seen throughout the woodlands both on and around the course. Ladybank was established as a six-hole course in 1879 by Old Tom Morris himself. It expanded to a nine-hole course in 1910 and to 18 holes in 1958. Since then, the layout has been consistently celebrated as a qualifying round for the British Open due to its challenging but fair layout. The golf course features long, narrow fairways lined with trees and well-manicured greens. Ladybank Golf Club's par-4 ninth hole is the course's signature. It is a demanding right to left dogleg with a tree guarding the corner and a two-tiered green.

A course for life
Superb course and easy to walk even if you are capable and in your 90s!! Sandy Heath course that rarely floods. A challenge with its pine trees Heather and bunkers. I hear many top pros played this course including Nicklaus . If it's good enough for them , then a must for any visitor to Fife
Excellent day out..
Really good place for enjoying a round of golf. Facilities excellent, staff excellent. Only down point was that I discovered the golf now booking was £3 more expensive than booking direct with the club!
A Gem
A course laid out thoughtfully and in fantastic condition. Full greens in early March! Highly recommended.
Excellent course
Excellent ‘old school’ style golf course in excellent condition in late September. Greens were superb running pure with dry heathland tree lined fairways. You need to hit it straight of the tee especially in the wind. Really worth playing if you in St Andrews and want a change to inland golf.

This was my first time visiting ladybank golf club and will not be my last. The professional in the pro shop was friendly and very helpful. The people in the clubhouse that I met were friendly and were all a credit to the club. Finally the course was a good layout and good condition. Thanks
very friendly
From arriving in the car park to leaving the whole experience is one of friendship.
As we were a twoball ,members threeball stood aside to let us tee off before them.
Fantastic course presented in excellent condition, definitely one to return to again and again
terrain intéressant car varié
Parcours très soigné. Fairways et greens superbement entretenus.
A Perfect Alternative
To any of the fine links in Fife. We played Ladybank en route from Edinburgh to St. Andrews. Beautiful course in fine shape and quiet on this weekday. A solid test of golf and a good choice if you're looking to get away from the seaside.
Traditional tree-lined course.
Course a good test of golf. Some interesting doglegs and tricky par 3s. It was busy but our 4 ball got round in just over 4 hours.
Didn't eat in clubhouse but several people were` eating there.
Beautiful course
This is a truly beautiful course.
Having travelled over the world to many different courses Lady bank would be in my top 10
Highly recommended
