About
Located just northwest of downtown Milwaukee, Washington County Golf Club (formerly known as Family Park Golf Course) feels much further thanks to its seclusion in the beautiful Kettle Moraine area. Arthur Hills designed the course, which is ranked second in the nation among municipal golf course in Golf Digest. The layout sprawls across wide-open, gently rolling terrain. The subtle contours of the landscape provide a few difficult lies and they can also make the greens hard to read but overall it is a course that most players can approach with confidence. Thanks to a versatile layout it appeals to a wide range of skill levels and it is an ideal spot for tournaments and events. Over the years Washington County Golf Club has hosted several championships including the U.S. Open Qualifying Round and the Wisconsin PGA Championship.

Washington Co. Gem
Great course at a reasonable price. The course is always in great shape. Challenging, but fair. I golf all over the area and this course is the best by far for the cost.
Good course
Good course. Great scenery to golf in. Place of play was sooo slow. Partly because a college(?) tournament was finishing up on the Saturday I played. I’d like to go back when it’s not as slow
A gem tucked away in the corn fields
Staff was friendly, pro shop had a great selection of items. Course was in excellent condition.
Rookie Round
For the most part the course is amazing and well kept.
But we did have a few hiccups.
1. The carts are lower profile than any other cart I have ever used and I probably hit my head 20 times.
2. It was a Wednesday and the greens were pretty beat up with spike marks and slackers not repairing their divots.
3. Golf course etiquette. A single should not follow a group of 4. There was only 2 of us and we let him through. A ranger would have been helpful.
Great course, needs ranger
Really nice course, will be back. Challenging and semi forgiving. Unfortunately the group two ahead of us was slow. Like inappropriate slow for no reason. However was there anyone from the course trying to maintain pace of play.... no. This became more and more frustrating as the round went on. About 5:15 was the total time and I am pretty sure two of the show foursome just stayed in the cart the last three holes.
The cart lady was friendly and was quick with service, we saw her 4 times during our round.
The check in guy was efficient.
The greens were challenging and in excellent shape.
Just needed someone to maintain the pace of play.
Great course
This course was recommended to me from a ranger at another course. Everything was in great shape, tee boxes to greens and everything in between. Greens were super fast and rolled true. Beautiful setting too. Highly recommend.
One of the best courses in the area
You will not be disappointed! Spacious fairways, slick greens beautiful layout just stay out of the fescue.
Nice and Challenging
Course was in great shape - greens rolled true. Wide fairways but if you miss, the fescue will punish you. Sunday pin placements on the edge of greens so hitting it close was difficult at times.
