The pins are very confusing because there’s no hole layout at the Tee box aimed for wrong pin a couple of times

What a cracker!

Lovely course, and although run by the council, it was in great condition. The greens ran true. Very picturesque, as course runs alongside the River Tay. The starters' hut has basic facilities - coffee machine, cold drinks, a toilet and you can buy gloves and balls.

North Inch

Lovely course and very forgiving for a beginner. Greens were good and fairway and light rough all in good order.

Fantastic municipal course

This course was great. The staff were great via email the whole time. I was late due to the train being delayed and they still got me straight out on the course. Plenty of advice, support and knowledge. Free club hire was great, with only a 10 pound deposit required.

Course conditions were perfect, we had a great time although we played badly. My brother in law from the USA was extremely happy to have played such a historic course.

Pleasantly surprised!

Tried with 2 friends for somewhere different. £20 is an absolute bargain, first 3 holes on a common area but one on 4th it's a whole other course. For a council course, greens not bad, fairways clearly effected by flooding on a few holes but nothing major.

Some quirky holes, 16th was a first. 75 yard par3 over a burn with the Tay on left! Great to see juniors playing as for the price is affordable to have fun and enjoy the game.

Only niggle would be clearer signage between holes, but sure will play again so not an issue.

A good knock around

I enjoyed playing the course and would recommend playing for holes 14/15/16 beside the river, really beautiful series of holes.

One or two things would’ve really helped the experience as a first time player of the course. 1. A map of the course on the score card - got lost after playing the 5th not realising that the 6th 7th and 8th were on the other side of the hill. Ended up playing the 14th and then having to ask someone where the 8th hole was only to find out id played the wrong holes. 2. Tee boxes with an image of the hole, with lots of temporary flags out it wasn’t always instantly obvious where the green was. 3. Nothing to change but just noting that the 3 par 4s for 1, 2 & 3 were all the longest par 4s and felt a bit similar.

All in all a great time though and played nicely.

North inch

We thoroughly enjoyed our round at this course. The course was in good shape, very green and lush and the views along the river were wonderful. The staff was also very friendly. We were provided clubs in the price and they were decent and the value for the money was good. On one hole a couple walking their dog joined us walking the hole as we played. I would recommend playing here is you get the chance. A great experience.

Greens a bit rough

For a council course North Inch is pretty good. I’ve played here a few times before but found that this time the greens were in quite poor condition, lots of bare patches and badly rolled, making putting a bit inconsistent. Otherwise it’s a nice, easy, flat course that doesn’t tax you too much. No clubhouse, just a starters hut but the pro is always friendly. For a pleasant, not-too-testing round it’s a good choice.
