Greens are some of the best I have ever seen....

the Course has changed it's name to The Mission Club. Played the Blues (6546/71.9/128) with JohnnyGK, RGM2525 & GDR23 Monday afternoon in a GK Guru outing. We played in beautiful, breezy conditions at a leisurely 4.5 H pace. After being held up for a few holes by some local seniors early in the round, the rest of the day did not see us within a hole of any group. We stopped for a few minutes and chatted with Russ the G.M. mid round and were still not pushed. Old school design surrounded by older, upper, middle class homes. Lots of mature trees and many holes were tight with OB or hazards down 1 or both sides. Really enjoyed this course layout, lots of doglegs, constantly up/down hills and filled with golf holes that kept your interest. The tees were mowed close with good coverage. Only a few areas that needed divot attention. The fairways were more thin than lush but had good coverage. The rough had good coverage and was about perfect height for this course. You could find your ball, not deep but just deep enough to make it tough to punch shots under and around trees like would be required when you missed fairways here. The only part of the course not in good shape were the traps. I was in 3 and they ranged from terrible to poor. None had an adequate amount of sand and they were crusty. The smallish greens were the opposite of the traps, IMMACULATE! Rolling medium speed and very smooth. Easily some of the best greens I have putted on in awhile. Excellent customer service from all encountered. No GPS on carts but the course was reasonably well marked for yardages. I really enjoyed the experience and would play here fairly often if I lived in the area. Definitely worth a look for out of towners looking to play a completely different type course than La Purisima.

The weather was great, and the course was well-maintained. Greens are challenging, and over-all design is interesting and challenging. The Ellery Room provides a great casual eating atmosphere. One correction: the fairways are kikuyu, and and the greens are bent grass; not vice versa as noted on this websight. Thanks for a fun round!

Had a 1230 tee time, weather was great for golf, course in good condition staff was friendly.

Challenging but fair course. Relaxing place to play.
Feels more like a park than a Country Club setting.

This course is challenging but playable. . Cool old school feeling. Some reachable par 5s. Worth driving to lompoc for. Good course conditions.

It was a very fun course to play, even though it was cold and with a little bit of wind. I am going to love coming back during the spring and summer months, because it is obvious that during dry season it's a challenging course to play and one that rewards good golf. It has wide fairways and this will be a delight for all you hackers.

We felt like we were the only players on the course when we drove into the parking lot with only one or two others cars there. The restaurant was closed so there was no food and beverage service available. Staff in pro shop was very helpful and we were able to start play immediately. Course was in excellent condition with the greens a bit slow, but in excellent condition. We played at a leisurely pace and was able to complete the round in 4 hours.

Two of us teed off at noon. No one in front no one behind. Beautiful course!!

Not enough grass on the fairway.
Green was punched.
A few player on friday, so pace was excellent.
They don't have view what we can call it's view.
Just a common golf course near someone's village.

I took a day off work to get in a rare mid week round of golf at this nice course. I booked on golf now. When I got to the course, it was closed to punch the greens. One hour each way. To say the least, I was not happy with Golf Now......

Well kept course. Nice atmosphere. Not the most memorable course in the area, but also a great value. If you're in the area, it's worth a trip.

Beautiful course winding through oak groves and pine trees with varied elevations... A must for golf enthusiasts!! Greens are very well manicured !

The course was fairly difficult with significant OB and small landing areas. The greens are in excellent condition and the ball rolls very well. The day we were there I think there were a few holes placed in locations to difficult considering the speed of the greens. Also, I did not see a pin location/green layout which would have been very helpful.

Played 18 holes with three friends and finished under 4 hrs. Everyone at the proshop and on the course couldn't do enough for us. I will definitely be back.
