About
Lake Wisconsin Country Club is located on the outskirts of Prairie du Sac, just a 30-minute drive from both Madison and the Wisconsin Dells. The golf course is quite short at 5,881 yards, which makes it pleasantly walkable, but it is certainly not an easy course. The front nine plays across rolling hills while the back nine is centered upon the manmade Lake Wisconsin. The bunkering throughout the golf course is minimal, but it is strategic and fair. The small, fast greens have enough undulations to give them some character but they are not overly difficult though the tricky doglegs shaped by stands of mature trees will test your accuracy. The par-3 12th hole is the signature thanks to a challenging island tee. Lake Wisconsin Country Club's 16th hole also has a memorable tee shot between two towering oak trees followed by a short iron to a well guarded green that backs onto the Wisconsin River.

Great spot
Always like going to Lake Wisconsin. Fall colors were still beautiful.
Beauty by the river
What a beautiful day, after a brief sprinkle as we started the round. Many trees on the course, were already turning color...making for an added perk golfing this course. Beautiful orange and yellow all around. Surprised there weren't more leaves to navigate. Played with the same ball the entire 18 holes! This is a favorite course and recommend it highly. Didn't eat there this trip, but that has always been good, also.

Very nice old style course along the river. Little slow due to a men’s league in front.

Nice course
Fun course not real long, can score if you keep it on the fairway. Very friendly staff. Course is really good condition.

Nice
Lake Wisconsin is in great shape. Not an amazing layout but you a lot of clubs and the greens are great. Surprisingly challenging for the yardage. Great views, can arrive via boat, island tee. Pretty cool.

Fun value
Great short course par 70. Course was in fantastic condition. Fairways tightly mowed, bunkers groomed and greens receptive. Great price on golf now
