Murphy Creek Golf Course

Snowed the night before, but the course was clear before noon. Almost everyone gave up on the day so I was able to book late and walk 18 by myself. Almost no one was out there. It was a little cold, but still a great day to play.

Murphy creek is having a little trouble condition wise coming out of this winter. I think a lot of courses are. There are quite a few bare and brown spots out there. The greens are doing pretty good, and if they cut them a couple more times I think they will be rolling nicely. They were a little bumpy on Saturday.

I still love the layout, and the closing stretch is one of the toughest around. This course will really test your game.

Looking forward to playing again soon and hopefully the grass is growing in better.

I love playing this course as it is great! However, for how much you pay to not have a bev cart and to be walking is unacceptable. You have the marshalls drive by constantly and sitting in the worst of spots when trying to tee off. To be sitting 10 feet from the tee box staring at me is not cool. When i tried to wave him on he refused. I had to set my clubs down until he got it and left. If he's gonna be a nuisance like this, he should atleast drive the bev cart and sell some drinks. We were getting dehydrated out there. The course is great, Staff needs to do better.

First time I've played Murphy this year, and wish I had been there sooner. Course is in excellent condition, and the greens are the best I've putted all season. Fast and smooth. As always the course plays tough down the stretch. Definitely worth a play if you want a challenge! Hope to return soon.

Most sand traps were hard as rock/clay however, I shouldn’t be in the sand traps in the first place. The rest of the course was in good shape.

Had a fun day at Murphy Creek. Weather was awesome. Course played well. It was in good condition. Greens rolled true. Play was a bit slow, but not surprising since it was Sunday. Marshall's were trying to move things along.

I want to like Murphy Creek, but I haven’t played a sub 5 hour round here in over five years. Took us five and a half hours to play. Multiples waits at tee boxes. Marshalls don’t appear to be present or do anything about it. Golf shop and restaurant team were very friendly and helpful. So was the care girl. I’d come back if they improve pace of play. If you’re looking for a sub 5 hour round though this is NOT your spot.
