Fabulous Smooth greens
Located in the West of Melbourne, Kooringal is blessed with a sand based golf course with, some of the smoothest and truest greens in the city (yes including the sandbelt).
Being close to the beach there is not a tremendous amount of undulation, but the club has used the space effectively and there are some tricky green complexes with heavy bunkering. I particularly like the 14th hole that snakes along the side of the property. A three wood off the tee to the widest point on the fairway (bordered by huge bunkers), is the order of the day. An uphill approach to a green with OB right and bunkers left. Par is a good score
Fantastic practice putting green, 4 practice nets. Limited driving range. Large clubrooms with one armed bandits.
Course in great condition, greens true and quick. Interesting layout couple of tricky holes be careful of the dam! Great value for money. Would highly recommend the course
