About
There are two championship golf courses available at Highland Ridge, an upscale residential community that is one of central Florida's most popular golfing destinations. Both courses enjoy a beautiful tropical setting situated next to a nature conservancy and a 260-acre freshwater lake. Highlands Ridge's North Course is known for its excellent conditions and the more challenging South Course is one of the heartland's toughest layouts. The South was even voted the area's best golf course in 2012. The layout utilizes the diverse tropical terrain to create a true shot maker's layout featuring holes that range from short to long and wide-open, to narrow. The design seamlessly blends links-style bunkering into the lush landscape of meandering creeks and sparkling ponds, which come into play throughout. There are also 100-year-old oaks that line the fairways.

Condition not acceptable
The course was not in acceptable condition, the greens were filled with weeds and we were unable to play hole 5 because the cart path was unusable, probably a fun layout when it is playable condition, by far the worst condition of any course I've played in Avon Park/Sebring
Weedy often bare , fair ways under irrigated not very good condition
Highlands Ridge South
We have played three rounds on the south course this year and have enjoyed every round. Some tee boxes were under repair but the course was quite playable with long fairways and tricky greens. There is a fair bit of sand on the course so it is best to try to stay on the fairways.The locals are friendly and the resident wildlife really added to our outing. Loved seeing the baby Sandhill Cranes in the gator pond and saw many other birds and both soft and hard shell turtles. Thank you for a terrific day on th links.
Very disappointing. Nice layout but not maintained at all. Greens bare and weedy, fairways hard to find grass. Just an expensive exercise in futility. Like playing on a farmers field. Terrible experience!

Greens play much better than they look. Many fireant hills you need to watch out for.Like the layout

The south couse needs work but I’m told there is a new owner so I hope next year it will show

Nice course, not crowded
Some greens are rough but nothing horrible. Loved the fact we could golf in a two some, course wasn't crowded and we could take our time.. Happy with the price.
Great track
Booked this and ended up being the first group on the course. Nice condition and great pace of play. Enjoyed our day.
