Eagle Landing Golf Club

About
The 7,037 yard Clyde Johnston design at Eagle Landing weaves through the Florida landscape and takes on a vintage feel as he incorporates several of the classic design holes from around the world into the par-72 layout.
"My goal, says Johnston is to intersperse classic holes such as the Redan Hole, the Eden, and the Cardinal into the routing in order to lend a sense of purity to the golf experience at Eagle Landing. Those individual designs are so technically and aesthetically complete that they can truly elevate a golfing experience."
Johnston's philosophy in designing a Club course remains the same as his other courses; begin each nine relatively easy and progressively get harder. The Eagle Landing course offers six sets of tees, from championship to youth tees, allowing the course to play as easy or as difficult as desired. Johnston's previous designs in northeast Florida include Eagle Harbor Golf Club, St. Johns Golf & Country Club, and Jacksonville Golf & Country Club.
Eagle Landing also offers a magnificent golf clubhouse with sports bar, fully-stocked pro shop, his and her locker rooms, and an elegant restaurant overlooking sparkling water and lush fairways. The staff of PGA professionals will coordinate a host of exciting tournaments and events on the course and in the clubhouse.

Wonderful Golf Course!
In 25 years of visiting the area, I’d never ventured to Eagle Landing. Generally preferring to play courses in St John’s county and when driving further out, Fleming Island and Eagle Harbor. What a mistake that was!
Out of 6 courses I’ve played this last week, Eagle Landing was the friendliest, best maintained, best layout and best value of all. Fantastic.
I got paired up with a staff member on his afternoon round. Ramon - a wonderful guy and I hope now, a friend. After feeling very let down by the other courses in St John’s county, I was so amazed at the quality of Eagle Landing.
Greens - 9/10 even with work being done
Fairways -8/10
Teeboxes -8/10
Layout - 9/10
The pace of play was great. I played Sunday and Monday and neither round took more than four hours.
It was a revelation to me, having never played there before, it’s elevated itself to my favourite course in the area.
The staff were friendly. The cart girl came around 4 times. There was water on holes. I felt they ticked every box.
I made a point of going into the pro shop after the round and telling them what an amazing course they have. I can’t wait to go back.
Thanks Eagle Landing - it was great fun and I’ll miss you!!
They ask for alot but deliver mediocrity...
Prior to booking, called to ask if there was anything going on with the course...like aeration. Person said nothing, course is great. Not true. Several greens were under repair and several were over grown with weeds. They ask for alot and deliver mediocrity
Some green work going on but still good
Doing some green replacement work in small areas on most greens, near the fringe, plenty of room elsewhere around the pins. If we landed in a patch area we just moved to the closest point of normal green and carried on. It's fine. Rest of course in good shape. Rough still growing in this time of year, and we're in a drought, so pretty normal.
Eagle Landing
First time playing out there. Overall, I was pretty pleased with the course. Greens were very nice - a few holes had some rough spots around the outside/fringe area. Enjoyed the layout of the course. Only negative was the pace of place. Waited on just about every hole. Will definitely be back!
Much improved
I was very pleased. Course was pretty beat up the last time I played it. Course conditions now reminded me of 1st time playing it. We bought the hot deal early, so not much of a deal. But we had 4 players and couldn't wait. I did find out that they have a senior rate. And I believe they have a veterans/military rates. All mid $40's.
Oh yesssss 2 nice birdies for me !
Nice golf. Beautiful layout. Good conditions. I would come back
A lot of fake reviews on here
This place is still in horrible shape. Don’t play here. And there’s a lot of review fakes with bold titles and stuff.
Beautiful course
Staff were friendly, course condition was great! Will definitely go back!
Good course
Good layout, good pace. Decent condition. A bit pricy compared to other courses
Great Condition
Greens are in great shape a little slower than I’m used to but made it easier to score… overall great layout. All par 5’s are very gettable. I’ll be back!
Eagle Landing
Great course!! Was in great condition and fantastic layout!! Little slow with pace of play with groups in front
Carts
The course was in great shape. Only drawback was the gps on the carts. Frustrating for the carts to shut off 100 yards B4 the hole. Also, studders along on cart path. Hyde Park has the same setup. Won't play here again.
Nice time
Good condition except greens. They are working on them so they’ll probably get better
Fantastic Course Layout
While the greens have a coloured substance applied (I assume because of the season and to make them appear more green than the surrounding grass), they rolled well and were consistent. The course layout is fantastic with many interesting holes , undulating greens and significant bunker features.
