The Georgia Club - Chancellors Red/Black Course

I am highly recommending the Georgia Club Red and Black nines after playing them on October 18 2019. There is also another nine ( Silver) for a total of 27 holes. The club is about 10-15 mins west of Athens GA., in a beautiful setting in and around a nice subdivision only a mile or two off one of main highways leading to Atlanta which is approximately 65 miles to the west.

Despite Recent drought conditions in the area this summer,and despite recent aeration of the greens, the Red and Black nines were in good condition with the greens still rolling well at about an 11 on the stimpmeter. The layout is fair but challenging with a good number of well- maintained bunkers and some well designed doglegs that require good distance and direction control. There was 5 tees on each hole that allows golfers of all sizes and abilities to enjoy their rounds. the green complexes were a good match to the design of each hole and were also bunkered well. They have a good GPS monitor on the carts that give you enough information to play each hole strategically. There is a well- positioned restroom on the two nines that I played, that you can access three times as Red and Black nines crisscross a couple of times.
The Club house was large with good- sized locker rooms that were well stocked with all the amenities needed. I had a moderately-priced sufficiently large lunch with good service after my round wit a nice view of two greens and three tees.
I didn’t not use the practice tee or greens, but I could see that they also were top quality. If you are in the area and have the opportunity, visit the Georgia Club for an enjoyable, challenging golf experience.

Played the. “Black/ Red” course for the first time ....the layout, the landscape and the green & fairways were in excellent condition.
What makes the day special was the warm & caring course Marshall (Jim & Don). Beside, everyone in the Club were warm and friendly.

Absolutely outstanding course in excellent condition.

The course is in terrific shape and provides great challenges for any golfer. The traps are plentiful and, at least for me, were hard to avoid. Make sure your sand play is up to form. It's a course with GPS carts which is a great amenity as well if you're not carrying a range finder and a good practice area as well. The discount made this a steal. Hope to play here again soon!

I have played The Georgia Club several times and each time I play I love the experience and the course.

The practice area is fantastic with everything you want or need for practice area.

The course conditions are always top notch and in fantastic shape. I love the beauty of the course and the course layout. All in all a great place to play golf.

Beautiful course, amazing staff, the hole layout is a bit confusing but manageable. I absolutely loved this course!

The course was fun as always, but the greens have not completely recovered from aeration a few weeks ago.

Fast Greens and challenging course layout, playing smart golf a must! The staffing are true professionals and very kind making this an awesome experience!
