Crystal River Golf Club (formely known as Seven Rivers Golf & Country Club) has been a local favorite since it first opened in 1968. The course is not only one of Crystal River's most affordable rounds but also one of its most scenic. It's not unusual for golfers to be joined by the golf course's abundant wildlife, which includes everything from turtles and alligators to egrets and eagles. The golf course has a traditional parkland layout that is routed through stands of mature oak and maple trees. A network of ponds and steams weaves throughout the golf course as well. It's a challenging but fair test where water hazards and sand bunkers come into play often. In addition to the course, Crystal River Golf Club also has a practice facility with a driving range and a putting green with a sand bunker.

Nine holes closed -Played front nine twice
When we checked in we were told the back nine was closed for maintenance and we have to play front nine twice,. Conditions were just OK. We were told the nine we played was closed for maintenance before. It was still weedy and in spots muddy with cart tracks. Greens were good for most part. Price was good.
Greens Improved, Fairways same
Since last playing here, the greens are in much better condition. Fairways continue to be spotty.
Water Wonder Land
Upon arrival we were informed that play would be only be available on the back 9. The front 9 was unplayable due to months of summer rain. The entire course should have been closed. The rain fell on the back 9 for the same amount of time as the front 9 and it was terrible. A veritable mud pit waiting to pull you and the cart under.
Scratch this course for the foreseeable future.
Close by
Had a great Father's day with my son. Greens were very bad, looks like they suffered some sort of disease. The course layout is good, and the staff is very friendly. Very peaceful setting. Hope they fix the greens, it's very close to me.
Swampland
Due to a tremendous amount of rain over the last few weeks and what must be a clay base this place was very wet. Most of the rough was floating in water and loosing balls was easy.
The greens were very fast but there were many brown areas. This course needs to dry out before we come back.
Greens are browns
Greens are browns, some are mud. They did roll true.Great layout. course needs more upkeep.
Get what you paid for
Title says it all. It isn't perfect, but it is a fun little course with difficult hazards. Staff is nice, price is great, and no wait.
The course is easy as long as you stay in the short grass
First time playing the course. Hidden swamp water on both sides of many fairways. A good test of golf. I really enjoyed it.
This course has some great holes but condition of course detracts.
I have played this course often since I live near by so I am familiar with its flaws. Prices are good at certain times and this is a plus for me.

Friendly staff. Greens in good condition. Nice to see some wildlife.
This should not even be given 1 star.
Weeds ankle high in tee boxes and fairways. Guess mowing equipment can only cut the greens, which some how were nice. By far, the worst golf course I have ever played. I paid $11 on golf now and it wasn't worth it. How can anyone give it 3 stars!
Great course
Looking forward to playing this exception al course again. Challenging greens and the course was in great condition. The hills make for some tricky lies. Fun to play! I highly recommend it.
So, so course.
Bare spots, weeds and tee boxes that are less than desirable, This course needs aggressive maintenance to improve the overall conditions. Over the last few years there has not been a sustained process for improvement of the conditions. The owners seem to be really good people, being friendly and personable. The 19th Hole, a Pub and Grill, is appealing, providing good food and drinks of choice at a reasonable price. It's just unfortunate that there's not a greater effort and emphasis to upgrade the maintenance of the course.

Course has been in great shape for the cost. We have been playing here the last month and the staff have been fantastic.

Crystal River Golf course is beautiful, Love the trees, !! We love playing there. Greens are great.
You get what you pay for
It was what I thought it would be for the price. Tee boxes were in ruff shape along with the fairway but the greens were okay. Great staff just needs some maintenance.
