Great Value

Some cracking holes on this course which we played for only £25, it would have been great value at twice that. It was a little boggy in bits but only a couple of spots and nowhere that affected play. Fairways, bunkers and greens all in great condition.
Thoroughly enjoyed Hawarden, would return and recommend.
NB don’t hit driver on the first!

Excellent Course

Fabulous layout, which was being well maintained and looked after. Looking forward to returning, hopefully as a member. I've played 20 courses over the last 12 months and this was the most enjoyable. The winter tees were well forward, which was allowing for fabulously looking summer tees, which a lot of money looks to have been spent improving.
The 18th par 3 is spectacular, down hill into a green set in an amphitheatre of surrounding trees.
The 8th is also a whole with great views from the elevated tee, worth well positioned ditches, and a lake short of the green, again, a lot of money looks to have been spent improving the layout and drainage.
This place is a must!

Great course

Really good condition for the time of year. Quite a few really interesting holes. Layout is a bit confusing if you haven’t played there before but everything is signed if you look for it

Top Condition

Apart from one temporary green, the course was in great condition. Greens were smooth and fast. Mats on almost every tee but that’s expected at this time of year. Looking forward to returning in summer.

Great Course

Fantastic challenging course with amazing scenery. Was quite boggy when we played but that’s to be expected with the weather.

Thinking of heading back and joining, another great golf course in our region.

Great course not for the newst of golfers.

Lovely course, good facilites and very good conditions, given some GUR's. My only critque is that there are many holes with large tee off gaps, this becomes an issue for very new players. Great challenge for more seasoned beginers. Place of play was good, let people through as they played faster then us.

Would happily play again and recommend to others.

Great course

This was a lovely course to play with some really interesting holes. Good use was made of natural features to ensure that there was a high interest level. The rough very quickly became very long and so a few balls were lost when they ran through greens etc. overall it is well worth a round at this very reasonably priced course.

Hidden gem

Paid £13 with GolfNow, excellent value for money. Great course in very good condition considering the recent weather. Greens were in great condition. Very welcoming staff who offered us to go around and play a few more holes if we wanted.
Clubhouse being redeveloped but will look great when finished overlooking the par3 18th. Will definitely play again. Highly recommended.

High expectations

Played a 2 ball today and both of us were very disappointed with the conditions of the course considering the lack of rain this week. Tee’s were ok, most of the fairways were very boggy as were a lot of the greens. We ended up walking off at 16 due to slow play in a competition.

Hilly?

Good course in good condition for the amount of rain it had, but even rain can't hold on severe slopes.
Not really a Seniors' friendly course unless you get a buggy.
Last hole pretty dangerous.
Need to be an experienced mountain climber really
