Diamond Hill Golf & Country Club
About
Diamond Hill Golf & Country Club in Dover, Florida stretches over rolling hills where there is no shortage of water. Dry greens are never a concern as water hazards come into play frequently throughout the golf course. The greens vary in speed from medium to fast and the fairways are lined with towering trees. In addition to the water, there are also numerous bunkers that are strategically placed throughout. The golf course has some challenging par 3s, especially if it is a windy day. With several holes playing over water and a few houses close to the golf course, well placed tee shots are essential to scoring well at Diamond Hill.

OK For the Money
Welcoming Staff and started on time despite a logjam at 1st tee. Pace of play a little slow @ 4 1/2 hours but course was busy and not an easy course. Not a bad layout with generous landing areas and visually mostly easy to see the routing. Some tees and fairways need TLC but aligned with the pricing. Greens were exceptionally quick and challenging which would be the primary reason for returning to see if revenge is capable second time around.
Great layout & beautiful countryside course
We were east of Tampa for a wedding & decided to play Diamond Hill on the Sunday after. It was a perfect Florida spring day and the course was fun. The fairways were very dry ....but we’ve had no rain in FL for some time. We enjoyed the layout & view. Putting was a challenge .... they were a 9.5 or 10. Even the short putts were tough! That’s okay tho since I’m getting ready for tournament. We would play it again in the summer..........for a lower price.
Nice Surprise
It was my first time playing this course. Thank god I played with someone who had some course knowledge. The greens were FAST but fair. I would come back again, and again.
Played this course a few time
The conditions are getting bettered
great venue
Course was in great shape, greens are very firm and fast with a lot of undulations. It will test your putting. Our foursome all want to go back and play again.
Excellent greens
Best part of the course are the greens. They are in great shape. They run true and are fairly fast. The fairways are average. The ground is hard and they cut them very short so it’s hard for the average golfer to get under the ball or take a divot. The worst part were the starters. They just let people go paying no attention to tee times which can clog it up from the beginning but the two times I’ve gone the players ediquitte has been great and they police themselves. I’ve enjoyed both rounds
Diamond
This is my go to golf corse. Love the layout. Greens are always nice. Sort of inconsistent but that makes the play more difficult which I don’t mind. Great place to play if you haven’t already.
Great condition
Played in a league few years back. It was rough back then. This course has been taken care of very well. Best shape I have ever seen. Greens are real nice and the fairways actually have grass! I will definitely be playing more golf at Diamond Hills.
Ol Ed
I play here usually once a week. Great corse. Great layout. Played with my brother a gentleman named Ed and his buddy Tony. Eddy is the jerk who places the pin cups in those difficult locations. Haha. He’s a great guy. Pace of play was fairly up beat considering how busy it was. Come play and enjoy.
Nice course, but horrible time management
We arrived ready to tee off Sunday at 11:15am. When I called to ask about the pace the staff claimed it was busy but should clear up by our tee time. What was supposed to be a 11:15 tee time ended up being a 12:30pm tee time. There were 4 foursomes ahead of us!! I’ve played the course several times and enjoy it but this was simply horrible tee time management.
A decent layout
Well I have to say the course has always had exceptional greens that are fast and roll true, despite the rest of the course looking like a goat farm. For this I will say the average golfer will appreciate the layout, so if you have never been give it a try. There are houses that line the course, so you will here family arguments on certain tee boxes. No. 15 is a beauty to behold, an elevated green hitting into a oblong green guarded by a well placed bunker, placed perfectly just in case you don't clear the water and come up short, so go long. I have always found the course crowded, even on what you would think would be a slow day. The hired help seem to favor the locals, so don't expect a warm welcome. I would suggest my Sunday group coming here, but the course as a whole, has too many negatives going for it, maybe in the summer when the rates drop, I or we will play Diamond.
Always fun and challenging
I just love Diamond Hill. Unfortunately we have a knack of always getting behind the husband wanting to give his wife lessons it never fails so things kind of are slow but other than that the course is beautiful every time I play there a challenges me .
Diamond Hill, Lakeland fl
The course has fast challenging greens, Day I played was windy and pace of play was very slow.
Lots of dormant grass very hard and tight lies around greens.
Interesting holes, will definitely play again.
