Little course ... big punch
I love this course. Played it a few times years ago before I appreciated golf, but was lucky enough to play it again recently. First glance can be very deceiving. It’s well below 6000 from the tips but when the wind is up the course almost doubles in length. If you’re lucky and it isn’t windy, which is rare, the greens will give you trouble. They are usually fast and multi leveled.
The conditions are as close to perfect as possible. The holes are lined with long fescue that frame each hole. Bold hitters can take driver but they need to beware of the well placed bunkers and wayward tee shots. Smarter players could find trouble laying back with a longer iron because of the previously mentioned greens.
All in all it’s a great course with no two holes alike. You could play it 10 times and have 10 different experiences out there
Winter golf
The only reason I didn’t give the vineyards 5 stars on course conditions . The greens were aerated. This is the time of year for that so really not a big deal. Tees and fairways were great , bunkers were smooth . Don’t be fooled by the yardage on the card it’s not 7000 yards but you better hit it straight. If you don’t youll be spending plenty of time in the strategically placed bunkers . Great course at a great price.

Hello, thank you for the splendid 4-star rating! #TheVineyardsGC

Hello Jack, thank you for the excellent 4-star rating! #TheVineyardsGolfClub
Last Golf Round OF The season
Course okay for late in the season. Greens not reading true breaks and speed. Fairways wet and tee boxes had sand. Good to get some last licks before the winter.

Hello, thank you for the excellent 4-star review! #TheVineyardsGC
Love this course
I’ll be back. I need to see if I can beat my best my best ever score
My 13 year old son Jack and I had a great time today . He is a junior met PGA youth golfer and the vineyards host a tournament of his every year which is very nice of the viineyardsgolf club. We we're paired with 2 great guys today. Course in good shape. .
Rob and Jack Breutsch
You can score on an off day
The staff remembers you , which is very nice. Had tee troubles, but ended up under a hundred with good iron play
Yeah, me. Trying to shoot in the 90s more often than not. 2 in a row on this course
My best score ever
So excited. Playing golf for 5 years and shot a 93 today. Very excited!!
Playing there again tomorrow, hope I won’t embarrass myself playing bad golf, lol. Will try not to
Short course and pretentious staff
The wife and I decided to hit Cherry Creek Links and Vineyards since they are so close to each other. We belong to a private club and know the routine as such. We got there a little early for our round and were surprised the range wasn't available to non members. Also surprised to get a condescending "rules of the course" which were basics such as repair ball marks and fill divots so as not to offend the members. As we embarked on our maiden journey we soon found we were fixing dozens of ball marks and filling dozens of divots the high fallooting members could not bother to fix themselves. Nothing otherwise impressive about this course and port o potties on a private course really?
Head to Cherry Creek Links for a much better course and much better treatment. And a range!
Hot Humor Day!
Course in great shape! Im pressed for this late in the season! Greens Extremly fast! Fairways in great shape! Love the lay out! Challanging when its very windy day! Best golf course in area.
Great course
This course is interesting and in great shape. I’ve read that it’s a short track but for me it’s long enough and you have to place you’re shots correctly. I’ve played it twice and can’t wait to play it again!
A gem
Great course and staff. I made the drive from Queens and it was well worth it. My new favorite Long Island golf course. Highly recommend playing it.
Great day
Took a friend for her birthday. We both played reasonably well, the other 2 players were very nice. And we had a fabulous lunch at the restaurant
All in All a fun day
Good bang for your buck
Private course.. They reserve 3-4 slots for GolfNow at a discounted rate.
Course is short ...But... Great condition. Long Island links North Fork style. No driving range and the putting green will give you vertigo.
Overall ,the staff was accommodating and I would give track another shot.
Hidden Gem
Excellent course, great shape and very friendly staff. Played it the first time 7/29 going back on 8/17. Not very long but very challenging for all skill levels. It’s worth the trip from NYC to Riverhead. Highly recommend playing it.
Hello Bob, we're glad you enjoyed our great course layout and a good value. Thank you for playing The Vineyards Golf Club! #TheVineyardsGC
