Yarrow Golf Course

This was one of my favorite courses. My wife and I played it every year, making it a point to stop in Kalamazoo on our way from Chicago to the great golf courses in northern Michigan. They always let us on as a pair first thing in the morning, before the course opened, so we could play rabbit and quickly do the course before continuing our trip. We stayed and ate at the Inn the night before. At that time of day we always saw tons of wildlife: cranes, heron, deer, and often baloonists. The course was a great route through the woods and farm country. We miss it!

The course was, as usual, beautiful, challenging and in great shape. The bad news is that this will probably be the last round here as the facility has been sold and the new owners are closing the course permanently. It was supposed to close last week, but with Indian Summer weather this week, they stayed open and we managed to squeeze in one last round. We'll miss you, Yarrow!

This place is great. Layout was very challenging with every type of golf hole you'd want. Some views from tee boxes made you stop and think for a minute at how great this game is and how great this opportunity is we have to be at some of the best sculpted pieces of land on earth. Walking around a golf course like this is more than just a round of golf.
Leaves were close to full bloom and playing partners I got paired up with couldn't be more enjoyable. Staff was very accommodating even this late in the season, offering everything I usually need at a golf course. Cold Pepsi, hot dog and smile. Thanks for a great day Yarrow.

Discovered Yarrow Golf club this year and made the two hour drive three times to play it. Enjoyed every round. Can't imagine this anything else other than a golf course. What a shame.

It was a beautiful day on this beautiful course. Glad I got a chance to play it before it closes for good this year. Probably one of the best courses in SW Michigan. You will be missed Yarrow.

it is really too bad this course will be lost to that area for the golfers. I have played it 2 times and if it was a bit closer for me I would be playing all the time. I was told that it has been sold and will not be a golf course anymore. this is a shame. I am 68 years old and I have played a lot of courses, this one is in the top5, or 6 that I have played. what a treasure is being discontinued.
people play this one before it is gone. it makes memories. and that is good.

I played Yarrow for a steal from Golfnow. I was only able to play 9 holes because I pulled something in my arm. Even though I got the deal online the gentleman at the golf shop gave me a rain check. The course is a lot of fun to play and is in great shape. Highly recommended!

Very surprised by how nice this course was. Bummed when I found out that this is the last year. Sold to a Rehabilitation Center. I'm so glad that I played it. Hurry while you can play this year. First hole should be the 18th finishing hole. Most of the wholes were very different from each other. Great collection. Course was challenging, beautiful and fair. Please fix your divots. There was a bunch not fixed on a couple of the greens.

Amazing landscape and value. By far one of the top five courses in lower Michigan.

We had a great day and round at Yarrow as always! Sadly, it was probably one of the last ones we were told since they will be letting the course go to seed at the end of this golf season. It is a great track that will be sorely missed . We brought a first timer who was overwhelmed by the lay out, beauty, and condition of the course. I hope that someone is able to buy this great course, and keep it open.

This course is being closed at the end of this season. It truly is a special golf course. It is challenging and beautiful. I will miss it greatly. It is a incredible waste to let this top drawer golf course fade away. I will by playing it at least once more this year. If you can play it before it goes away... do so. You won't regret it.

Yarrow is by far the best course near Kalamazoo. It has a northern Michigan feel with tall lodge-pole pines and natural elevation changes. The greens, tees and fairways are all perfectly manicured. Sadly, it will not be there next year. They sold the property and it will become a drug and alcohol rehab center. They plan to let this gorgeous track grow over. Te news made me sick. I may start drinking heavily so that I can sneak on and mow it!

This course offers a superior challenge for an average golfer with steep elevation changes and multi-level greens. If you're getting frustrated though, you can always take a deep breath and take in the scenery. Yarrow is an immaculate, scenic course. It's both beautiful and will truly challenge your game. One of the best golf experiences I've enjoyed this year.

This is the best course in central Southern Michigan. We played it from the blues- outstanding views and very challenging

I've visited the links at Yarrow 4 times now and in my opinion, its the best course in Mid Michigan! The greens are soft yet quick and roll true. The fairways well manicured and soft as butter. Beautiful course, scenic views and a great, challenging layout. Excellent value on Golf Now. Go play this course while you can, word on the street is that it is closing after this year and being turned into a rehab center.

As a Pastor you look for every opportunity to find some peace to think. Those you who golf Yarrow is that course. Rolling hills, challenging layout, that even a bad shot makes you smile.

Love this course!!!! I can not believe I'm hearing it closing after this year what a shame. Not your normal back and forth race track with bunkers only around the greens. This course will make you think and hit to spots in the fairway setting up your next shot, not just hitting it blindly with you driver like all the other courses. I do have to say if you can't hit it somewhat straight you might want to stock up on balls before you go. Saying that the fairways are quite large so if your in the woods your fault.

Wonderful course, staff and setting. One of the nicest course in SouthWest Michigan. It will be a total shame if the rumors about the course being sold for development of housing and golf course torn out and closed.....such a shame !!

EXCELLENT COURSE IN GREAT CONDITION, NOT THRILLED THAT WE GOT BEHIND A (5) SOME ON THE FIRST TEE. THE STARTER INDICATED THE LADY IN THE GROUP WAS ONLY PLAYING A HOLE OR TWO, NEVER SAW HER NOT PLAY A HOLE! TOOK A LONG TIME FOR 18 HOLES, FINISHED AT LEAST TWO FULL HOLES BEHIND DUE TO THE FIVESOME...OTHER THAN THAT A PERFECT DAY.
