Beautiful grounds!
Great, challenging course. Carts are fairly new. The course reminds me of Garland. Very picturesque! Can’t wait to see the new clubhouse next year!
Fall Golf
The course was not too busy so pace of play was pretty quick. we were a twosome and the group in front of us let us play through. the greens were great. we actualy played all 27 holes. one of the 9's had recently been aerated, but that wasn't too bad. the other 18 rolled quick and true. the tee boxes were kind of crappy, but I don't expect too much in the fall and I didn't feel that had any negative effect on play. I heard a rumor that a clubhouse is going to finally be built, fingers crossed. the staff was great and friendly. could the price be a bit lower for this time of year, yup, but it didn't keep us from playing and getting in the extra 9 holes either. will 100% play here again!
pleasantly surprised
So, I've played here in the past. the course has always been good, but was not great. today's round was great. the greens were quick and putted very true. the rest of the course minus the tee boxes were also in very good condition. the pace of play was a big stinker though. no one really pushing the pace and seemed like the person in front of us was giving a lot of swing advice/instruction while playing. I would 100% come back. I heard a rumor that a clubhouse is finally going to be built. Not really a big deal for me, I enjoy a good value. Brand new golf cart too. had that new cart smell!
Charlie
Course is very challenging you really feel like northern Michigan golf. Pay attention or it will eat you alive. Charlie in the club house was a delight to deal with very friendly
Went there last year
Course is becoming worse and worse, the layout is amazing but condition of tee boxes and grass around the course is terrible. Found my ball bouncing as if it was on the cart path because it was pure solid dirt even around parts of some greens. For $75 that’s ridiculous I doubt they have a maintenance crew… I’d pay the same price as the Myth maximum, they probably justify their costs because they have 27 holes. Unsatisfied wouldn’t recommend.
Potential
Just played this morning,
Course has potential to be truly awesome but for the 30 plus years I’ve lived next to it it’s slipping.
Pros
-pace of play
-great fairways
-fast greens
Cons
Front the landscape and no clubhouse and washed out gravel parking lot it’s do for a facelift
Tee boxes are hammered
Cart paths if they exist need redone
Woods need cleaned up
Ponds need cleaned out
Traps need redone
Again this has potential to be the nicest shooter course in Oakland county but if upkeep is a problem lose mind to a new sub and beautify this place, it’s a 50 dollar top course all day but the lapeers and sugarbush and boulder are much better value let alone a 6 pack of high noons are 61 dollars and 77 for a round I feel 55 in condition would be a win
Played here couple of times already so far this year, was disappointed in the tea, boxes, and quality of the greens. But overall course still great value.
