Friendly Course, Great Value
I've played this course many times. It's a beautiful setting and very friendly staff. Great course for the value.
Terrible Customer Service/satisfaction
We originally golfed here 2 weeks ago. We showed up and were informed that they had just aerated the greens and we couldn’t play most of the holes. That was a terrible way to do things by not telling people when they booked, but instead waiting until they show up to inform them. Aside from that, they did give out rain-checks. So today we went to use our “rain-checks” and they informed us that we had to pay extra money for the cart rental and the difference between what we paid for the original 18 holes and the 9 holes we were playing today (since the 18 holes is typically less than 2 separate 9’s). It makes no sense whatsoever to charge us for the cart or the 18-9 difference because it wasn't our fault that we were inconvenienced and had to make another trip back to finish our round. If anything they should have comped us something extra for the huge inconvenience. Not sure who owns the place, but they need to have their staff take a course in customer satisfaction & common sense. We will not be back.
Cedar Trace review
Me and a buddy did 18 holes at Cedar trace golf course. for the money if you can get it under $30, actual under $20 on golf now website, very much worth it. 18 holes for under $20 is my goal, ill golf twice a week if i can continue to get these prices.
Course is set up as mostly long 4 and 5 pars.
A couple greens need some repair, and the 18th hole looks to be under construction.
I would recommend this place to a friend.
Golfers do better
I've been playing this course for about 6-7 years. The owners and staff have made this a much better experience over the past year or so.
With that said. While playing yesterday . Without any exaggeration I saw so many divots on the greens that golfers just left not repaired. How can we complain about playing conditions when we don't do our part to help better the course. Repair your ball marks. Keep golf carts away from tee boxes and greens. Just do better golfers.
Awesome place to play
This is one of the best places and most happy and friendly staff we have seen at a course very pleased and will return over and over .. this is how a course should be ran.. thanks
Horrible greens
Every green was completely burnt up. I could have been more understanding if we had an extremely hott summer, but with the amount of rain we have had, being the 5th wettest August in history, expected more. Greens did not looked mowed, divots everywhere. Messed a few putts up due to conditions of greens. Rough was extremely high grass. Fairways were beat up as well. Course layout was confusing as well. Had to give you a paper to direct you.
August 27, 2022 Review
Greens were terrible. Brown patches all over every green. Fairways were average at best. They had weeds scattered all throughout. Tee boxes was just your ordinary yard grass cut really low. Overall I felt maintenance on the course was just grass cutting. $10 minimum to use credit card. Haven't seen that in a long time. Couldn't get a drink and a snack at the turn due to that rule. So make sure you bring cash. They also charge extra if you want ice or a cup. Cost to golf was around $40. I wouldn't pay more than $25-30 based on conditions.
Not bad for the money but…
We went on a beautiful Saturday with expectation that the course would be full. But, Holy Cow, it was slam packed. We teed off about 15-20 min late because of the back up (9:50 scheduled start). We ended waiting for nearly every shot en route to a 5.5 he round. Pretty not awesome.
I’ve played here several times and haven’t encountered this kind of poor tee time management before so I’ll chalk it up as a one-off, but…
The course, with exception of a couple weird holes, is a fine setup. Medium on the difficulty scale for a mid-capper like me (~ 13). Staff is super friendly. There is a go-cart racetrack right door so if the races are on you’ll be hearing it all day long.
Horrible greens
The amount of money ($45.00) could’ve been used on a better course but no other courses had a 10:30am available tee time. The greens were awful as many of them looked burnt and had no grass on certain spots. There were “bunkers” but no sand in them. The course needs a ton of work done to it and maybe it would be worth $45.
Don't waste your money
By-far the rudest ownership I've ever encountered. Worst course conditions in the tristate, hands down.
