Brasada Canyons Golf Course

About
At 7,295 yards from the tips, Brasada Canyons is the longest golf course in Central Oregon. The course winds across and along the many canyons of Brasada Ranch, a location that enjoys over 300 days of sunshine a year. The dramatic elevations throughout the course offer stunning views of the snowcapped Cascade Mountains, but they also make it a difficult course to walk. The opening holes encapsulate the beauty of the entire golf course. They wind dramatically through and across canyons and along a series of ridges. The course remains memorable throughout, perhaps with the highlight being the 15th. This drivable par 4 that has a panoramic view of the mountain range. In addition to the golf course Brasada Canyons also boasts a two-tiered, grass driving range with eight pins as well as two separate short-game areas.

Not really worth it
Pace of play continues to be an issue. Many of the fairways remain burnt in the summer months. Greens are a good speed.
Breathtaking
On a buddy trip. Played the Black/Gold combos. At $209, it was a splurge, but worth it. Its a tough course, with lots of up and down. Impossible to walk, cart a must. Some challenging tee shots, but mostly fair. "Canyons" is appropriate name--many of the holes routed up or down canyons, very scenic. Very well maintained. Greens slopey and fast. A few hard forced carries, and a few blind shots onto greens. Recommend a yardage book.
For $164/player mow the greens!
Greens were slow, they were not mown. Also the tees were not mown. It has not rained in a while so there was not a reason they should not have been.
The back tees were not set up. When I called the pro shop to ask why they said we only do that for tournaments. I played one ups only 6500 at elevation so it plays very short. Hit 2 irons off the tees.
The cart path between holes 2 and 3 was being paved. So we had to take a 30 minute cart ride detour to get to 3.
Beverage golf service was not open. No water on the course. The review from a year ago made note of no water I guess BRASADA doesn't care.
Cabins are nice. Food and drinks are $$$. $7 bud lights and $13 well drinks during happy hour.
Big disappointment. Actually huge disappointment. Came from Arizona for this. Cancelled our 2nd round here. Won't come back.
Great Course. Bad service
Had a chance to come out and play Brasada . I went out for twilight with a friend and had great weather and pace of play. The course was fantastic with great panoramic views of the cascades. The biggest pet peeve was there was no water on the course or even at the turn. The water that was supposed to be available at the turn was empty. When I asked someone who worked there if there was water, I was told that they machines were broken and that was all the water they had. Great thanks for the help. For $95 they should have bottled water. I've played $50 muni courses that provide water. If the course is trying to cut costs, not offering water to guests on a hot day is not the way to do it. I won't play this course again. Also felt that a $95 guest fee for twilight was excessive. I'm used to paying that in other places but not in Bend . At least provide a better level of service and a good experience for $95
Incredible Top to Bottom!
I've been wanting to play Brasada for awhile now, I had heard nothing but great things. I finally had an opportunity in July and it did not disappoint.
First and foremost, even the drive up, the resort, the restuarant patio are all so scenic and serene. You can see for miles and feels like you've left civilization. Once you get on the course, the views of the mountains never end.
The course itself is spread out through the desert. You rarely ever see another hole from the hole you're on. The fairways and greens are in great shape, very playable. Just don't hit it in the desert.
It's one of those places you just have to go play. So go play it. ASAP.
A fun ride through the High Desert
This spectacular layout boasts a number of downhill tee shots and amazing views of the surrounding mountains as well as the high desert. The layout meanders up and down and through a number of canyons. The course is really a lot of fun to play.
