Nice piece of land, but...
Wedgewood has some nice views. It's fun to plot your way around the course. However, the conditions are average to poor. The gasoline-powered carts need to be replaced. The constant shuddering over the lumpy fairways turns your blood into foam.
The greens were decent a month ago, but now have bare dirt spots and as much weeds as grass.
Now that Wedgewood is cancelling their association with GolfNow, they're no longer a good deal. We paid $14 each from a GolfNow Hot Deal, which is about what the course is worth right now. At $25/round, you could do so much better.
I will say that the folks in the pro shop are so friendly, especially the woman behind the counter and the older woman in the office. Super-great and very helpful. I hope they get their grass and cart situation together--I'm rooting for them!
Don’t use GOLFNOW
Booked a 12 o clock tee time and paid $5 to reserve my tee time for $22 only to find out GOLFNOW is not affiliated with this course! THANKS FOR TAKING MY $5 for nothing! Oh yeah and the rate is cheaper at the pro shop just give them a call. Other than that. Course is decent good for the money 10/10 would recommend to a friend BUT NOT ON GOLFNOW super dissapointed in Golfnow for the first time.
Great for brand new to golf
If you are a decent player this course is below standards. It used to be in much better shape years ago but now the only thing missing are the cow pies on the ground. The greens long and slow, the fairways are patchy with weeds. The ruff is rough. Great for a beginner but far below average for the lower handicap player.
Was told don’t come back if you are going to use golf now.
If you pay cash no tax.
shows wear and dry conditions
Staff poorly advised on Golf Now. Hard to understand reservation not showing price paid.
Claimed they quit Golf Now two weeks ago ? Able to play but felt bad that it took him so long to understand.
Nice for price
Got a great deal but read, and it was confirmed that this course was purchased and will be gone in 2 years. So sad because we enjoyed our day!
It’s been years
We haven’t played here in a few years and found out today they’re selling the course to some home developers. It’s a shame since the Shin’s are great people and have done what they could in a tough market for golf course upkeep. Course is playable and their service is always great but left after 9 today due to unbelievably slow play. Not bad to go out and just kinda unwind..
Course to Ourselves, Great Place to Practice
This course definitely isn't going to be hosting any championships. The greens are slow and bumpy, the fairways are covered in dead spots and weeds, but its playable.
Best part is, I've played this course two separate occasions, and never have seen another player on the course. GREAT practice course to take your time and work on your shot, but if you're looking for a quick round it's great too. For the price I am able to happily come out and play 18 holes in less than 2 hours after a day of work.
Doesn’t honor golf now
Do not use golf now to make reservation here, they will not honor it and will make you pay again when you get here.
Course has drainage problems
The ground was wet due to heavy rain for last week grass was not up kept One hole was closed not worth the price
My home course...
I've been playing WW regularly since July of 2013 and its never been in better condition. Considering the modest green fees, this course is an exceptional value and a joy to play. The sand traps could use attention and chick weeds remain scattered about but otherwise, this is a perfect golf course for the average player.
Wedgewood First Timer
Really well maintained course. Lots of long straight fairways. Some tough water holes. Tough but manageable. Will be back.
Coming along quite nicely
Aside from a few aerated greens on the back Wedgewood is in decent shape. The fairways look great and the greens aren't bad just real slow. Perfect place to practice your short game, not a long course at all. The staff are always great and make you feel like family. Give it a shot.
Fairways immaculate
The owners gave us a very nice welcome and our foursome thoroughly enjoyed a very nice round. Fairways were the best I have seen in some time. I understand that work on the greens will soon be underway. Keep your eye on this course as it is definitely heading in the right direction. Great value for money.
My round at Wedgewood
The course layout kept your attention because no two hole were the same. So you have to think your way around this course. Too bad the course wasn't in better shape (spotty greens and some other rough areas) it would have been even more enjoyable.
Adequate for practice play
Very welcoming staff. Course appearance was disappointing. Nothing noteworthy to see. Greens are super slow. Dry, sandy and looks painted. From blue tees icourse is somewhat challenging. Big let down from courses played in Orlando area. Then again you get what you pay for.
