Plantation Palms Golf Club
About
Plantation Palms Golf Club, designed by David Harman, provides every Tampa golfer with a challenging and rewarding golf experience. The links-style design starts with a welcoming par 5, and then slowly steps up with a mixture of strong par 3s. Just 10 minutes north of Tampa, this course was carved a 400-acre citrus grove that slopes from west to east, providing interesting elevation changes. Water is in play on 17 of 18 holes. Plantation Palms Golf Club has an attractive framing of greens by the use of pine trees, water and large snow-white sand traps. The true-rolling elevated greens have good movement and are a challenge for golfers.

Great day with friends.......
Fairways and areas around the greens were in pretty rough condition, greens also had some bad spots. i was a bit disappointed with the course conditions considering we've had some much needed rain the last couple of weeks.
Just okay
The course was booked to the rim. we were late and it seemed as if we had committed a cardinal sin, so turn up late if your of color. I saw others turn up late and they were not harassed. Anyhow, the course has a decent layout, there's nothing spectacular about the course, the greens were running slow and moderate, so each green was a new adventure. The tee boxes and fairways were in decent shape. We were paired up with a young couple, that were sharing her clubs, as he was not a golfer and she played for her school, so that was an adventure watching them go back and forth trading off clubs. No, nothing was done about it, as there was no ranger.
I would not be in a rush to go back to the course, I had not played there in over 2yrs, so it maybe another 2 before I go back.
I walked the course, but I did see that there is GPS on the carts.
Value for the fun
Great layout and greens were excellent. Fairways firm and fast. Need water or drinks on course. Pace was decent. Great value as course continues to come back from closure. GPS in carts was excellent
Not worth full price
greens are average for high volume public course. fairways are ok to under average condition. off the fairway the bunkers, rough and other areas are in poor condition.
Some good, some bad
Decent layout, greens rolled pretty well are the good.
The bad: range balls look 20 years old. No sand in traps. Front 9 played at a decent pace, back 9 took almost 3 hours, and the group in front of us only played front 9, so back should have been faster. I saw a Ranger driving around a couple times but apparently they said nothing to the four guys in front of us who are having casual conversations on the Teebox with no one in front of them, while we were wrapping up on the green behind them and waiting every hole. Nice new carts but surprised they got gas, not electric.
1 bottle of soda from bev girl: $4.25!
Place could be really good but needs to do a few things first.
Layout was very good - fairways were terrible - never had any significant amount of grass under the ball . Obviously a shortage of water . - greens rolled very well - bottom line fairways were awful - not a big advantage being in the fairway . Staff was great
Carts 5 stars
Carts are 5 stars, staff was very accommodating had to change tee time due to weather, informed me that there was a group of60 going off soon, allowed us to go out before them; played in 3hours
Only issue that I have at Plantation Palms is the pace of play. There is no one monitoring the pace of play , which is very frustrating. Course gets a lot of play, which is great, but myself and others have not completed our rounds due to slow play.
Plantation Palms-Awesome
Great golf course in awesome condition. Greens are very fast and the staff is outstanding, friendly and I wish other courses would copy their customer service.

I play a number of courses every month but I enjoy our rounds here the most.
