About
This Treasure Coast golfing jewel embraces the traditional values of golf course architecture emphasizing shot value, variety and dramatic effect. Meandering through an 800 home residential community, St James offers 4 sets of tees for individual playing ability and a challenging round for all levels. The 6800 yard, par 72 design features 64 dramatic bunkers and 17 water hazards. The club also offers a state-of-the-art practice facility, with natural grass tee, simulated fairway bunker and dedicated short game area with putting green.

WOw - surprisingly great!
I had never heard anyone say anything great about the course up until recently. I tried the course and it was fantastic. The fairways were well maintained and the greens were fast! Crazy fast! They put some effort and time into this course and it is worthwhile!! Good time! Great round!
Relatively standard public golf; slow play
Located just north of Port St. Lucie, this public course has a ways to go before being considered more than a filler-round option in the area. Several holes have potential, but the conditioning, especially of the greens, could use a little work. My recent round was delayed more than half an hour due to a very crowded first tee; tee times might be too close together. The clubhouse – a converted model home for the surrounding community – is welcoming, though, and the hot dog is very good.

Had a great time. Staff was friendly. Would play again!
Enjoyable Easter Round
Nice track. Played it from the tips at 6,700+ yards. Course demands the use of every club in the bag. Overall Course condition was average. Fairways need some love and water. Some very skinny lies. Greens were above average with a lot of slope and good pace. Practice facilities are plentiful. Nice range, chipping/pitching complex and practice green. Overall, I would recommend this course for every level of player and affordable.

Nice place
Played with 7 friends and it was an 8-0 vote to come back again. Fairways could use some work but the greens were excellent. Decent rates and a great staff

Great greens
The greens at Saint James are a five star. Unfortunately the rest of the course isn’t. The tee boxes need a lot of work., fairways are cut extremely tight. With lots of bare spots. The area around the greens also need a lot of work, lots of dirt and bare spots.

Bad conditions AKA Goat Hill type course
The overall condition of the tee boxes and fairways are not very good.
Greens and bikers are good.
You can do much better at other surrounding courses for the money.
I would not recommend this course.

Very dry
Course was extremely dry, especially tee boxes and fairways , not much green grass. Greens however were much nicer and rolled true

Great greens
Good speed on greens, wide fairways, good pace of play, however new pricing is a little high for this public course wait for golf now specials.

Yep - would play this course again
Friendly staff that took pride in their work. Played this course based on reviews stating “fast & smooth” greens. Most greens at courses we played in this area were slow & bumpy. Although this course had greens that were smooth, were a bit on the slow side. Pace was fast, past the ranger a few times, 3-3/4 hrs . Fairways in good condition and not tight. Water in play on a few holes. Enjoyable round and will play again on our next trip to the area.

Not a great course
I’m happy we played here once, but it’s not a great course. Tee boxes are very sparse, sand traps are missing grass and have sand on the outside of the traps. Had to wait on every hole.

Dry due to lack of rain but layout is nice. Greens rolled true and smooth. Will play again.

Really enjoyed it
Staff was very good. Course is in very good condition and greens were very good. We really enjoyed our day. Ranger said he noticed the group in front of us was slow so came out and told them to speed up. Very appreciated.

Fun course
Besides that it was really windy, the course was fun because there was roll on the fairways, greens held well and rolled fast and true. Pace was very slow at first but picked up through the back nine. The starter was awesome, with helpful hints and very friendly. Definitely will play there again.
