Pinecrest Golf Course

About
Pinecrest Golf Club has an interesting par-55 layout that is comprised of all par-3 holes with the exception of a single par 4. It plays more like a traditional course rather than just a pitch-and-putt. At 2,235 yards, it's a good walking course. Though it may not be what you're looking for if you want a formidable round, it's great for working on your short game. The greens are average in both size and speed but there are some subtle breaks that can make them quite challenging. Sand on the course is sparse but strategically placed and you'll also come across the occasional water hazard. Pinecrest G.C. is an excellent place if you're just learning the game but it's also a good option if you want a quick, affordable round.

Quick & Close
I have played at Pinecrest 4 or 5 times in the past year. They almost always have an opening and many discounts available and reasonably close to me. It is a decent sized executive course and this last Sunday the wind blew 25-30 mph pretty steadily so it definitely made for an interesting round. The folks there are friendly and thus far so are their clients.I would recommend Pinecrest to anyone it's a great place to squeeze in a quick 9 after work and low cost enough that you can go out just to work on your game.
This course is not for me
Not in very good shape, greens really shaggy, very slow play.
Long wait
We teed off just over an hour after our booked tee time.
Clover thru out the greens.
The course is being over run with clover, it is spreading like wild fire on all the greens. It is getting worse every year. You cannot putt over clover.
This course has great
I satisfait and play certainely again at this. Course .
Nice little par 3 executive course for quick short game practice.
Nice little course perfect for practicing 90 to 125 yd shots and excellent greens. Great pace of play, good staff, well maintained. I've played a couple times here and will again.
Super deal.
This is a short course. Easy to walk. There are some water traps. For $9 pp plus tax and fee it is still a super deal.
Great course to have an easy round of golf
We have played Pinecrest for years and enjoyed our round of golf very much. The price along with a cart and no waiting made the round very enjoyable. We had not played for several months and had a chance to get back our golf swing without losing a ton of golf balls. The fellow at the pro shop was very cordial and helpful in getting us off on our round.
Good learning course
The course was in fair shape. The tee boxes were tore up and the irrigation system needs some work. The greens were in good shape and very fast. This is a very short course 17 par 3s and 1 par 4. Most of the par threes were around 115 from the whites. The course is not very difficult and the greens, other than being fast, are flat and easy. It took my friend who has never golfed before and I 2 hours to play all 18. It was a good course to work on the short game or for those just learning the game.
Great course for beginners and to work on short game
As a beginner who need work with the irons this course is great. Great value and not too busy during the afternoon (late March). There is a nice little pizza joint (non affiliated) right above their Pro Shop.
Pros:
- Great for beginners and short game
- Friendly staff
- Great value
Cons:
- Not the nicest looking course in the world...
- Canals look ugly and smell
- Small course feels cramped
For a par 3 quick fun course to play
Greens were shaggy and slow. Small greens make harder targets to hit. Killer deal on golf now
Very smalltalk course
The greens are challeging but the holes are very Short.
challenging for the beginner golfer
We found this c ourse to have all lthe features needed for the beginner -- sand, water, trees, -- a fun game.
Great Short Game
This is a great course for working on your short game. I am a beginning player and didn't feel like I was the worst person there nor did I feel rushed to continue. Great game overall.
Very unfriendly staff, course over crowded.
