Duran Golf Club - Championship Course

About
Duran Golf Club is a local favorite, known for being the best public course in Brevard County. The club is also home to the area's only lighted nine-hole, par-3 course. The course stretches across fertile terrain that was formerly a sod farm, lending some of the lushest playing surfaces on Florida's east coast. The championship layout has a links feel with subtle mounding that frames large, undulating greens. The beautiful landscape comes into play throughout the golf course. Sparkling lakes and ponds, lush grasses, and stately palms all add to the beauty and challenge of the round. Coastal breezes come into play on several holes thanks to the seaside location. Duran Golf Club's practice facility is almost as popular as the 18-hole course. In addition to the par-3 course, there is also a large driving range with mounded areas where you can practice with uphill and downhill lies.

Nice course
First time play on this course . Conditions were good, staff very helpful. The layout is good not overly challenging but bunkers and water come into play often.
Best condition in the area.5 rounds in 6 days
The Duran was in the best shape over all compared to, Viera East, Baytree(disapointing for the hype) and Indian River. They all need water, badly. But the Duran is the only one we played twice in a week. 3/20/25 thru 3/25/25.Dont waste your money on Indian River, crabgrass eveywhere. Viera East and Baytree have potential once their grass comes in. All the course need another month and alot of water to be worth what they are charging.
Horrible Staff
It’s unfortunate that staff can be so rude that it disrupts your round of golf. I don’t pay the price that this course costs to be belittled by staff. Very bad look & extremely unprofessional. New to the area, avid golfer, will not be golfing here again. Otherwise - the course is fine.
Fun time
Nice layout! Some very pretty holes. Greens are true
Nice layout!
Beautiful layout, water is not really in play that often as the fairways are extremely wide.
As for the condition, greens rolled true with reasonable speed, still in need of water. Fairways were sparse, very little quality green grass, same goes for most tee decks.
At this price I think it’s a bit pricey for the condition but it is a nice design.
As with most courses here, they should install 200 &150 yd poles to speed play up as you can gauge how far the group is ahead in the fairway.
Slow slow slow
Too many people watching too much TV…only start looking at your putt when the last person’s finished, view the putt, regardless of length, from all 4 sides, straddle the putt and look at your fingernail all the way down the line, line up ball markings precisely with the hole, 5 practice swings…and yes, miss every time. No round of golf should ever take 5 hours on carts…
Pace of play
The staff let out a group in front of us that had five golfers and four carts and took a five hour round, totally unacceptable
Good course
We were with a member of this course. The pace of play was horribly slow. The member was also surprise of the situation. More than 5 hours to play this course is ridiculous. We will play it again the next week.
For the course, it was in very good condition. The greens were slow they were cut too high. We hope it will be corrected for our next round.
