Good course with a poa annua infestation
The title says it all. The course is fine, but the greens are covered up with a Texas winter poa annua bloom which is only going to worsen over the next month. Putting requires all the skill of a lottery winner.
Not worth the money right jow
Could be so good. Over seeding of greens failed…like putting over gravel.
Greens need help
Played on 2/6/25. The tee boxes to fairways were in excellent shape. But the greens were not smooth at all. Every one of them needs to be resurfaced. Not sure about the links side but lakes are off the recommendation list.
Squaw Valley Lakes Course
Good layout. Challenging but fair with well placed fairway bunkers.
Staff is great. Great practice facilities, and bar with grille.
Two 18 hole courses in pretty good condition for January.
Good January day of golf
The fairways are in good shape for winter golf. The greens have lots of weed grass making the putts bumpy and unpredictable on breaks and distance. All the greens have this problem. This is like the problem they had before, when they closed the course and reworked the greens.
Great Place to play
For late fall the course is in great shape. Staff work hard and it shows. Proshop is friendly and items are well stocked if you forgot something or want anything to remind you of your round there. Like any where people do not fill divots or fix ball marks on greens. Enjoyed the company of whom I was paird with. The Marshall was not seen and the hackers in front of us were a bit annoying throwing clubs and slow playing from the back tees, and should have played forward at least 2 (white). Overall great day!
Great layout and general good condition except for the greens. The greens were patchy and bumpy.
