Texarkana Golf Ranch

About
Set along the shores of beautiful Bringle Lake, the Texarkana Golf Ranch is one of the best new courses in the state, and some say the nation. With its thick forests, lush fairways, and significant elevation changes, this pristine course offers a peaceful golf experience for unbelievably affordable prices. Since the course was carved out of the natural East Texas terrain, they didn’t have to move much dirt–the low construction costs are passed on to the golfing public.
The design spreads out over 300-plus acres that could have easily supported the development of 36 holes. Instead there are only 18 holes, most of which are not adjacent; this means that you’ll typically never see another group on the course.
You might even spy a celebrity or two. Those fortunate enough to attend the grand opening were able to attend a clinic from PGA Professional and Haney prodigy Mark O'Meara. Later that day you could also compete against him in the tournament that kicked off the course's grand opening
The beauty here is unparalleled; every hole appears to be the signature hole. On the front Nos. 4 and 8 stand out a bit more than the others. No. 4 is the only hole where Bringle Lake is not visible, but because it features over 50 feet of elevation change over its 472 yards, it’s one of the most spectacular holes.
No. 8 is almost comical, playing a devilish 666 yards from the tee–it’s a double dogleg that requires two perfect shots to be in position to reach the green in regulation. Wayward approaches carom off the slopes beside the green, and ups and downs are not guaranteed.
The three finishing holes leave you drooling for more. No. 16 is over 500 yards and requires a tee shot over a lake into a tight landing area. The second shot is a lay-up into a sloping fairway. It can be impossible to get it close with the short approach because the green is perhaps the most undulating on the course.
The beautiful No. 17 plays 214 yards on a long plateau beside the lake, and the spectacular ender plays 425 yards through the tall pines. It’s tough to get the tee shot in the fairway because of the numerous bunkers, and especially because of the funky green. Surrounded by bunkers, this strange green is often a sure three-putt because the front slopes left to right, while the back does just the opposite.
Getting there : Take the Richmond Rd. exit north off of I-30, then turn right on Scott Wright Rd.

Nice course
Course layout was nice, pretty challenging. Checking in for tee time was quick. Definitely will be back.
Nice Course
This was nice course for a good value with Golf Now. The greens were in great condition and were deceptively difficult. My only negative comment is that the car paths are in poor condition, so getting around the course was pretty rough.
so much potential
The layout is good, very challenging. Course knowledge is a definite advantage as there are some blind shots, and parts of the course you really need to avoid.
The course was almost empty, with fewer that 10 cars in the parking lot. Most of the fairways were good, but there were patches that needed work. The greens were recently aerated and sanded, so they rolled slow and bumpy.
The snack bar was not open, and not cart service was available so I'm glad I brought my own cooler with plenty of water.
All in all, this is probably the best public course in Texarkana, so if/when I return Ill probably play here again.
Beautiful
The course layout is awesome. The greens were in good shape. The fairways were good for the most part. The dirt spots were on the side/top of the hills. A few tee boxes were rough. Overall the course was cool to play and I plan to be back.
The only negative was the cart path situation. Where there was a paved path it was rough. Still a beautiful course that is worth the money.
Beautiful course and layout
Really loved the course. With a little care and a skilled groundskeeper, this would be a premier destination course. It is so close. It has all the ingredients.
Best Course in the ArkLaTex area by far
Been coming here for about six months now and it gets better every time. Even with 5 weekends in a row of rain, the course was still in great condition. Staff is always helpful and friendly and the golf carts are clean and even come with towels for you to use on the course. Would recommend for anyone to play here.
As usual, extremely disappointing
It is sad and disappointing to see such an incredible golf course look and play so poorly.
Due to the conditions, a player simply cannot take his round seriously no matter his skill level. The conditions are so poor that a group of players simply cannot have a real competition.
For example, some of the bunkers are topsoil, and some of the bunkers are red clay.
Management sets for no rules when it comes to how customers or members conduct themselves while on property.
Golf carts will literally drive anywhere and everywhere and it has been this way for at least a decade.
It is so unfortunate, because now the golf course is in worse shape than it has ever been since it was opened in the early 2000s.
Hopefully the new owners will just simply turn this golf course into “average”. if they will do that, it will be one of the most special golf courses that most people will ever get a chance to play.
I have seen many very poor nine hole golf courses in the middle of nowhere take 10X as much pride in their course than this one.
I have simply never seen anything like this. It’s very sad.
Again, if this magical place had only “mediocre” conditions, it would be one of the most spectacular and fun golf courses anywhere. I wish the new owners the best of luck!
Great Greens
Really enjoyed this course. The front was a little long for me, but still fair. Greens were in great shape for this time of year. The fairways were ok but there are a lot of bare spots and ruts due to the lack of cart paths. All in all I really had an enjoyable time and would recommend it for the price!
Great public course
You get your bang for your buck with this course always a great place to play. The fairways are in pretty good shape and I would say the greens are in great condition not perfect but great, the bunkers are a little less than desirable but like I said bang for your buck. It's a challenging course so it's always fun to play.
