Lago Mar Country Club

A delightful round of golf at the Lago Mar Country Club course. The golf course staff were very friendly and accommodating. The golf course website has all the information on each hole giving a very detailed overview and flyover: http://www.lagomarcc.com/golf/hole-descriptions/ .
The course provides a good challenge for all golfers. The greens were in excellent shape and rolled very well. All the tee boxes were nicely cut with markers labeled 1, 2 ,3, 4, or 5. Most tee boxes were flat with ample room to place your ball. The fairways provided a beautiful green view giving the course a pristine look. The rough was cut to about 2-3inches, which is not terribly penalizing. The carts were in excellent shape with sand/seed mixture for divots. The player's practice area is near the pro shop. There is a large putting green adjacent to hole #1. Be aware of the green iguanas on the course.. they will provide an audience on your tee shots or final putt. An excellent "cared for" country club with great amenities and a friendly professional staff.

I was a member at Ft. Lauderdale CC and now joined Lago and really have enjoyed the course better then Ft. CC. Staff and everyone have been wonderful. Amenities are not what it is @ Ft. CC. As for golf excellent and meeting members much better as for personalities. Course is fair but every hole has a different feel. For the membership rate can not beat the deal they are offering.

I played in a twosome. On the first nine it quickly became apparent that we were playing behind a FIVESOME. Course marshal didn't seem to mind. First nine wasn't bad as the course was full, but on the back nine the fivesome had six opens holes in front of them. There were many opportunities for these out of touch members to offer to let us play through but the members clearly knew nothing about golf etiquette -- very disappointing as their lack of golf knowledge and accepted standards left us with a sour taste. The course is in fine shape and the layout is fine. If it is the Lago Mar habit to allow fivesomes at the whim of members, then the pace of play will always be a risk.

My family and I truly enjoy the wonderful amenities and professional staff at Lago Mar CC in Florida. An active tennis program, wonderful golf facilities and multiple pool locations give us a wide range of activities to enjoy. Thanks for such great experience.

They call this the hidden gem of Broward County because you don't know it's there. Within Lago Mar colony a small enclave of beautiful gems is this private but affordable fantastic course. Challenging layout, great condition, and wonderful staff.

I have been a member here for about 2 years now and the facility and staff are great! The course is very challenging, has a great layout, and usually in great shape.
