Nice course!
I played early in the season (March) so not much of the course was green, but I knew that going in. Sand traps were decent although I was playing by myself and wasn't concerned about scoring so lifted them out.
Greens were not fully developed yet and still had a lot of sand.
Enjoyable course
Course in good shape. Would suggest putting hole layout on scorecard. Worth the money.
Hilly course- unexpected surprise
The course is deceivingly challenging.
But the pace was great and we accepted the challenge and made a great afternoon of it.
Seen better
Clubhouse is being remodeled. Looks like the place has seen better days.
Coweta course
Found the course to be overall good. Greens need work. Lots of sparse grass.
Rough shape
Greens are in terrible shape, fairways have alot of rough patches. Course is on the decline still, felt like I would get it another chance since last time. Unfortunately I feel like this is the last time I will play there.
Horrible experience
This course is terrible condition. Greens have some kind of disease on them, could barely putt on them. Fairways were dirt and some grass. I only got 13 holes in, cart guy came out to hole 13 and forced me to go in one hour before dark. I will NEVER play here again. Terrible experience and customer service.
Value for money
Pace of play great, some greens need TLC.
Staff very friendly
Not worth it anymore, Please fix this place!!
I’ve been playing this course for years, but after my most recent round, I won’t be coming back. The course has really gone downhill. I played here about a month ago and the greens were in bad shape, but I thought I’d give it another shot. Big mistake. The greens were even worse—completely un-puttable, and to make matters worse, I wasn’t told in advance about the two temporary greens (9 and 18). That’s fine, just communicate it. The fairways are in terrible condition, and the tee boxes are essentially just dirt patches in the woods. No amenities, and the course conditions have deteriorated to the point where it's not even worth the $25, even on weekends. Not coming back again.
Course condition
These greens were terrible and it is clear this club does nothing to enhance its course or any of the amenities. This course is very hilly and used to be in great condition throughout. I do not know what happened, but this course is in terrible condition with awful greens and terrible fairway temporary greens. What a disappointment. Golf now should take this one out of its rotation. If I lived on this course in these high priced homes, I would be very unhappy that this was my choice of a home course!
Needs a lot of work
Front nine greens were sanded, patchy and practically unputtable. Back nine greens were in good condition. 9th and 18th were played with temporary greens and the tee boxes were so dry you could hardly put a tee in it.
“ Potential: With a lot of Attention & $ ……
Coweta club is close to my house .. So I try it out every once in a while. Rarely ever on a weekend, it is not worth the $50 weekend charge. Granted, pace of play is awesome / most locals know it is not worth $50. Weekday prices with my Senior discount is tolerable. At the start of the summer I told my wife they might be trying to bring it up and spent some time on the greens, tee boxes , and fairways. That didn’t last long. Had not played iCoweta Club in about 3 months. I know what’s it’s like and was still disappointed. It is what it is: Try to get a golf now price and just enjoy the outdoors playing golf with friends. We all wish someone would take it over and spend whatever it takes to bring it up and make it an above average public course. We only have 2 local public course close by. Sorry Coweta club, called it like I see it.
Can’t do it anymore
I booked the round Thinking the greens would have healed from when they punched them two months ago. To my surprise They were in worse shape send they were when they were punch and sandy! Nothing rolled through and often took left and right. Turns off the line I intended. Even for $55 it is not worth playing around here until they get things right. Unfortunate because I love the location and the layout. I cannot do Kawa club anymore, I will play my rounds elsewhere.
beautiful layout- horrible greens
It was good and bad.
The good. I played on a Tuesday afternoon and had the course to myself. The layout is nice and you feel like you are in a park setting. Beautiful neighborhood. I must have seen 20 deer as I played. Very hilly course.
The bad. The greens were in horrible shape. Must have burnt out from over the summer. The course was probably really nice 15 years ago. It is in need of a lot of maintenance and love. I suppose the homeowners association fees are not adequate for course maintenance and as I said above; there was nobody else on the course, so they are not able to pull in money and put it back into the course.
Overall I did enjoy my round, too bad the greens were horrible.
