Seminole Lake Country Club
About
Seminole Lake Country Club offers a landscape that is lush with native Florida vegetation and wildlife, including a family of American Bald Eagles that have made the golf course home. Formerly known as Cunningham Point, the club has been around since the 1930s. Scenic views of Long Bayou complement the enjoyable round of classic Florida golf. The course is challenging but playable with sand and water hazards coming into play on nearly every hole. The versatile golf course has been host to legends like Arnold Palmer but with five sets of tees it is approachable for a wide range of skill levels. In addition to the golf course, Seminole Lake is equipped with a driving range, short game practice area with a bunker, and two putting greens.

Sprinklers soak greens
Course was in great shape. Great fairways and tee boxes however yea they advise their were temporary greens due to them re doing the original ones but i didnt expect sprinklers to be on at every hole and soaking the temporary greens to where you could not putt at all. I was fine with the course lay out even though it was shorter due to the work being done but out of 18 holes pretty much half you could not putt or chip on to the temporary greens. No reason sprinklers couldn’t of been on early morning or during evening when players aren’t golfing. So yes it was $27 which is very cheap but was not happy with not even able to putt on most of the holes. The course layout is great everything else was good but soaked greens unacceptable
Temporary Greens
Even though the course has temporary greens and every hole is 30-80 yards shorter. The tee boxes, fairways and even temp greens are in fantastic shape. Played this course 4 times now since the temporary greens have been in play and can honestly say it’s been one of my favorites still. You won’t find anything within an hour of Clearwater at this value. A 100$ gem for 20$ right now you can’t beat it!!
Fairways and Fake Greens looked really good
Course will look beautiful when the actual greens are finished.
Great staff and fun course
Great course, even with temporary greens. Great care was taken to make the game as fun. I can't wait for them to finish the greens!
Temporary Greens
The course is completely rebuilding the greens and 17 holes had temporary greens. One par 5 they had 2 temporary greens, one for a par 3 and then one for a par 5. This caused a huge back up of groups. The next par 3 was completely closed which is why they set up a par 3 on a par 5 hole.
I had no idea that the course was under reconstruction and would not have booked had I known. I finally gave up and left after hole 14.
Seminole lakes
Great course layout. Four tee boxes to play from. Good fairways and great tee boxes. Currently all greens under repair so all distances are 20 to 40 ads shorter. Amazingly the trimmed fairways that area the new greens work really well. They are slow so you can be aggressive. Good now and when all greens are repaired the course will be great
Great Condition
Enjoyed the course very much. The staff were friendly. It definitely helps if you can work the ball left to right but you don’t have to. Greens rolled out a bit and were quite firm. I would definitely play again. One of the staff told us they were getting ready to replace all the greens.
Been playing this course since I was a teenager
I played this course back in the seventies when I was a teenager in high school. It is still a great course to play the staff is always friendly and the time to play is when all the snowbirds go back up north. The prices are cheaper than and of course is not as crowded. But overall for this course being as old as it is it is still a fantastic place to play. Keep up the good work Seminole Lake CC
