Great course and condition
Fun course. Very fair. Tees, fairways and grew were all in fantastic shape. No bad lies! Beautiful views. The 3 short holes after the round were fun and was a great way to end the day! I definitely recommend and would love to play again if back in town.
Disappointed
When I booked, the information on golf pass were about 18 holes, par 71 and almost 7000 yards.
The golf course is only 9 holes, par 32 and just 2500 yards.
We thought we will play 18 different holes and it’s wasn’t that.
We are very disappointed 😡
Great golf course
Me and my son in law played on Tuesday. The fairways and the greens were in great shape. We will play another round for sure. The golf pro is a great guy and remembered us from last year. Great customer service.
Only 9 hole par 32. 5 par 4s and 4 par 3s.
When the course was 18 holes it was one of the best in Texas. Now as a par 32 you play the nine twice for 18. It is in great condition put really pricey for what you get. That being said still a challenge.
Changes
Last time playing here it was still 18 holes. Definitely preferred that to just the 9 holes that it is now.
Do NOT play this course after a rain!!!!
Course layout was beautiful. Didn’t stay at the resort but looked very very nice. We played a couple days after it rained 6 inches and as soon as we got to the first hole I looked up and there were already 20 mosquitoes surrounding our cart. and trying to play will a bunch of mosquitoes trying to bite you is not fun. I was tweaking. After the 4th hole I was done. My dad finished the 9 holes without me and came back with 6 bites all over his face. He said it was breezy for a couple holes and wasn’t that bad but when he got back to the 8th hole he said it was awful. If you do play here, definitely play around noon or 2 o clock and definitely not after a rain. Overall wouldn’t recommend just because the mosquitoes make the course unplayable.
Nice 9-hole course but the mosquitoes were out in force!
The course is great but if it recently rained, you must come prepared by buying mosquito repellent! Don’t try to buy any at the local stores either because they will be likely sold out. The mosquitoes were out in the morning, afternoon, and evening. To say they were “bad” is an understatement as we had to reapply several times during play and we only played one round.
However, I have played the course when they were not bad and it is nicely maintained year round and pretty cool.
Better than expected
The conditions of this course put a lot in DFW to shame. Very few bad spots on the course even with it having limited cart path availability.
Only thing that would make it better is a full 18, but two rounds of 9 was a lot of fun
Links Feeling in Texas
This was once an 18 hole Arnold Palmer course. After a serious hurricane, it has been reduced to 9 holes plus a par 3 "loop". I enjoyed playing the 9 holes twice, because we could learn from our mistakes on the first round. You really need to be a straight hitter on this one! There were lots of mosquitoes, so take plenty of spray! The views of the ocean are simply delightful. I would certainly play here again. The GolfNow Hot Deal offered a substantial saving over the regular greenfee!
