Not worth the drive if its wet
Made the 75 min drive to check this loop out. Greens were recovering from being punched but can imagine they are normally pristine. Course was wet and played extremely long.
Lots of groups backed up with CPO in place which was necessary with how soggy the course was. The staff was off. Unfriendly at check in and rude throughout play. Pushing a bunch of groups with no where to go.
Maybe if conditions were perfect you could justify the drive but too many better options closer to the city.
Course in good condition just very wet, unfriendly staff.
Course ready for tournament!
Great course! Fairways are so plush and the greens are super fast! This course is ready for play. Only downfall right now is having to play back 9 twice because they are working on front 9 but this is standard for any nice course! I def recommend this course!
Great Course
This is a great Links course with lots of interesting holes and challenges. There are some monster par 4s (especially into the wind) that a 4 will be a VERY good score and there are some drivable par 4s. Definitely will have to work your way around the course. Good bunkering. The greens are very fast and while true, will give you every bit of the challenge one wants. Its a fair course that rewards good shots but not so difficult that you cant recover from a bad shot. There is not much around there and its a brand new community so the grill is all you got and good during the round....couple of restaurants and grocery about 15 minutes away....
Nice Conditions
We played Cutter Creek on a windy December day and found great course conditions and a great layout in the middle of nowhere. We will return when back in Eastern NC.
Never been treated so poorly
When teeing off the manager told us that we should play from a shorter tee box to speed up pace. I wanted to play slow and have a nice day off work. This ruined the entire round. The day before we played this golf course and we got behind a group of 10 golfers each hitting two balls but no one seemed to care about that.
Hidden Gem
If you're for some reason in this part of the state, stop and play this course. It's absolutely immaculate. One of my favorite courses. Long, challenging, and cheap.
Great place to play.
Love this course. I've only played it a handful of times and it's always in great shape. I got a great deal on a hot deal. Played for under 20$. Course is great no matter the cost but a good deal just made it better. Play this course if you get a chance. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
A must play
The course was in very good condition, especially for this time of year. The greens rolled very true and were in great condition receptive. We will play cutter creek again soon.
FANTASTIC!!!
This is about my 7th time playing Cutter Creek ,and I have found it to be one of the best courses around.I am about a 7 handicap and play the blue tees and find it to be a great challenge and so much fun.I have talked my buddies into going and now they are hooked.I am bringing different golfers down there at different handicaps and they love it.it takes me about 1hr 20 minutes to get there but well worth the ride
Greens were perfect
Nobody there and the course was pristine. Will definitely play again.
Great First Time Experience
As a beginner, this course was very challenging for me. My son and I played this course for the first time, he has been playing a couple of years, and we had a great time. We both look forward to going again even though it was about a 45 min. ride for us. Even with the course challenges (bunkers, water hazards, and elevation changes) being a bit out of my league, I really enjoyed playing this course and can't wait to take another crack at it as I improve my game.
Excellent course in middle of nowhere
Excellent course in middle of nowhere. Layout is great and greens are FAST. They were aerated and sanded when we played but the ball rolled well. Layout is open but there are lots of hazards outside the fairways.
Fabulous
Not much in the way of amenities nearby, but this is a fantastic golf course. Great layout, superb conditioning, lots of character, and just a really enjoyable day. On the course, every detail is taken care of. My son and I especially liked the "fingers" of land in the bunkers which meant never needing to rake a large area. This course is rather out of the way and rural. I hope lots of people discover it. I, for one, will definitely be back.
Great Round, Great Course
Course was in great shape and since the temp. was in the mid-90's in late afternoon, we almost had the course to ourselves. Everything was in great shape, fees were very reasonable, and we had a nice round away from our home course.
Great course
Course was perfect and a great challenge. Unfortunately the weather was not. We finished the round in pouring rain, because we didn't want to miss a thing!
Cutter Creek Review
I have played a ton of golf at a lot of different courses and this course is close to my top 5! If you are living in the Greenville, NC area, this is the course you want to play! The layout is superb and extremely well manicured. The greens were plugged when I played it but they still miraculously rolled true... That is a true statement about how the greens will be when they are pristine! I would go back and play it every week if I could! Highly recommended!
Worth the 'drive'!
The course is absolutely gorgeous and well manicured. Lush fairways, penalizing fringe and fast greens. Rolling fairways, and well thought out bunkers in the fairways and guarding the greens. Staff were friendly and welcoming, eager to help in any way needed from the time we arrived until we left.
Awesome
Was shocked at how wonderful this course was.
If this course was just a little closer to Greenville
Every year since the course opened, there have been improvements and upgrades. I simply love this course and if it were any closer to Greenville I would be a member without hesitation.
Slow golf is never acceptable. Play fast and enjoy your day off...playing slow doesn't make your round any better, just makes everyone playing behind frustrated...if you want to play slow, perhaps pick up putt putt golf, or Bocce...or needlepoint...
