Frog Hollow Golf Club

About
Frog Hollow Golf Club in Middletown boasts the title of "best public golf course" in Delaware. The course has a links-style layout that is challenging but still player-friendly enough to appeal to beginners, seniors, and juniors. The layout is wide open and quite forgiving but there are still plenty of hazards with which to contend. There are more than 50 strategically placed bunkers throughout the golf course. Their thoughtful placement makes up the bulk of the layout's challenges. There are ponds that come into play on six holes as well as tall native grasses that appear along the fairways and greens. The wind is often a factor on the course too and will test your accuracy even further. Frog Hollow Golf Club's par 3s and par 5s are manageable but the par 4s will test even the best players.

If you like putting
These greens have great roll and fun to play on.
I always enjoy this place
A Good Value
I like this course and it is a good value, so I recommend it. The greens were in great shape and were lightning fast. It was a good challenge. The rest of the course suffered a little over the winter and is not in top shape. But it's March now and I'll play it again in a month or so and hopefully some of the dead grass spots will have come back. The staff is great.
March golf
This was my first time playing Frog Hollow. Course was in great condition! You couldn’t tell it was March other than the actual color of the grass. It’s nice to see a course that is well maintained. Staff was great all the way from the pro shop, starter, and cart return. Will definitely be back!
Classic
Frog continues to shine in Middletown. They’ve made conscious efforts to improve the sand in bunkers. As usual, this course is a lot of fun to play.
Round played 3/18
Always enjoy playing the FROG. Was paired up with two very nice guys. Enjoy everyone I have met there . Course in nice shape for this time of year . Look forward to my next time out.
Decent for Spring
The course was in decent shape. Fair for the value. Greens rolled ok but have some more to go. Fairways and tee boxes were good as well. Bunkers were not groomed but not expected at this point in the season and we played following a rain. Disappointed that the bar and grill were not open, especially on St. Patty's Day but we found a couple other bars off property to quench our Irish thirsts. Slainte"
Play-able
Course is in kinda rough shape, but then again, it’s not growing season yet so nothing is being replenished like it would be in the spring/summer. All par threes had us playing off a mat. Only reason I can think of is to preserve the tee boxes for when the weather changes. Greens were okay, some beat up more than others but nothing that would interfere with a putt. Wasn’t expecting much going into the round, it was basically as I expected it to be. Bar was open but didn’t have time to stop.
Course was in good condition, especially considering the time of year. Enjoyed my round very much!
Always enjoy playing there.
Considering the time of year the course was in great condition. Greens rolled true. Really enjoyed the round.
Golf carts could use a upgrade both our carts seats were duct taped and cover on back was really bad shape. Starter was a cool dude. Course in really good shape.
