Raven Crest Golf and Country Club

About
Located on the northern bank of the North Saskatchewan River, Raven Crest Golf & Country Club sprawls across a beautiful landscape that offers stunning views. Raven Crest is part of the group of four Country Club Tour Courses. Membership with Country Club Tour provides access to all four of these Edmonton-area golf courses. Raven Crest features a diverse mix of holes, ranging from narrow and tree-lined to open, links-style holes. The golf course stretches to just over 6,700 yards from the back tees, winding through mature forests and wetlands. Towering trees line the fairways and water comes into play several times. To complement the natural hazards, there are also strategically placed bunkers throughout. In addition to the golf course, Raven Crest has practice facilities that include a practice green, short game area, and full driving range.

Unprofessional, Poor Pace, and Overpriced.
Monday night we went to play around 6:30. While I can be sympathetic towards Covid and group/league play that can negatively impact pace, the pace of play was simply unacceptable. It was apparent from the parking lot all the way up to the tee box that it was going to be a slow round. We did not tee off on time. We waited for over 10 mins on the second hole. We waited another 20 on the 3rd. On the fourth hole there were 3 groups at the tee box including us when we pulled up. The marshalls were nowhere to be found. We were not informed of a 20 person league/group, nor were we allowed to tee off on the back 9 to offset the obvious backlog. We were on pace for nearly a 4 hour 9 holes.
I messaged the course, hoping that they would own up to this and make the appropriate adjustments in the future in order to avoid incidents such as this. They declined to respond, and as a result I will never go back to Ravencrest. If I’m going to make that drive I’m going to Quarry every single time, and why not? CCT is a price gouge for what you get in the first place. It will be disappointing to have to cut White Tail from my circuit, but I refuse to support a company that thinks they are above customer service.
Will Definitely Be Back
A busy day at the course, but was able to finish our round within the allotted time. Raven Crest is part of the Country Club Tour and our annual membership makes it really worthwhile. On the whole, the course is well maintained and amenities include new electric golf carts. The Starter and Pro Shop staff were friendly. The beverage cart staff came around frequently. We did not have time to check out the food in the clubhouse, but our round included a discount voucher for burgers. It was a very enjoyable day.
Friendly staff; friendly course
The course was in very good condition. This course offers birdie opportunities but also demands that you think your way around the course.
I will be back.
The course is in great condition.
Nice course layout, holes 2,3,4 we're very challenging get through those holes and you'll be in good shape.
Good all around course
The greens were top dressed, so putting was a challenge, all in all it was a fun round and the course was well maintained.
Course was in shut down mode for end of season
Ball washers were missing, club house kitchen was closed, and greens were dressed with sand which made putting difficult
the course is fine, but the greens are sanded for the winter, so the putting was disappointing. still a goot time was had by our party.
you can't complain about playing a round at this time of the year. even with the greens sanded, we still enjoyed our round.
I really like this course, it has a lot of variety in the 18 holes.
It is a great course under normal circumstances, however the course had just been aerated & the greens were sanded, making it very difficult to putt & got very little roll on the fairways.
Great Course
One of the best in the Edmonton area. This year is unreal. Everything is in great condition. Always play this a few times a year. Love this track..
Rough Way Too Long
Rough Way Too Long, Both of are carts Had to be replaced med round because battery's were dead. Strong smell of Garbage from nearby dump. But the course has matured nicely over the years. A good challenge especially with the long rough.
Lovely afternnoon
This course is a little gem. Well maintained, interesting variety of terrain and holes. Always fun to play. The course marshal was very friendly but kept things moving along. He was teaching a group of youngsters about course etiquette and speed of play which was wonderful to see - some adults could take note!
Beautiful course with many practice areas
Enjoyed Raven Crest in August 2013. The staff was nice when checking in with my golfnow discount. Not all staff at courses welcome the golfnow discounts as it hurts them in double bookings sometimes. Not here though, very understanding. The course was tremendous. Well kept. And will be back, that's for darn sure.
Good course for range of handicaps
Pace of play was slow -- close to 5 hours to complete the round.
Good Value
Raven Crest is a course that offers good value in a market where golf has a very short season.
There are 2 or 3 holes with narrow fairways, but overall, it is a very fair and wide open golf course.
Golf Now price was very good!
Course in sub par condition
Tee boxes and fairway rough needed to be cut. This was happening but on the back nine?
Very Nice Layout
This is a great course to play. It has many difficult holes for an average golfer and undulating fairways and greens. The course is in pristine conditions when we play. This course is highly recommended for any golfer.
The course is in great shape
the course is in really great shape, very green.
the greens were in great shape, no bad spots
beer cart girl was friendly and around often
the weather was perfect.
Course in great shape
Course is in the best shape I've seen. Rough not long but thick. Take an extra 2 clubs. Greens are hard and fast.
Excellent and Fun
We had a very fun time at this golf course. The staffs were very friendly and the course was very well maintained. Great Value.
Great course. Excellent shape
We got to the course and there were no issues. They were aware of the prepayment and we were on our way.
