Twin Willows Golf Club

About
Twin Willows Golf Club gets its name from the two original trees that have been with the club since its beginning as a nine-hole course in 1964. The classic original layout was later joined by a more open, Scottish-links style layout. Overall the course is player friendly enough for beginners, but more advanced players will still get a challenge from the back tees, especially on the back nine. The 12th is a tough par 3 that plays entirely over water and the 14th is another notable hole. It's the longest par 4 on the golf course and it can feel even longer since it often plays into the prevailing wind. There are 45 bunkers strategically placed throughout and there are also eight water hazards that come into play. The distinct front and back nines give you the feeling of playing two golf courses in one and there is also plenty of variety among the holes.

I love everything about this course
Twin Willows is a fifteen minute drive from my home in West Edmonton. The proximity is not the only reason that my spouse, friends and I play this course - it simply feels like everything a home course should be: playable at our level of ability, yet challenging and enjoyable.
As seniors we can walk the course because there aren't a lot of elevation changes and it is short enough that we aren't too tired for a jug of beer afterwards. The staff are friendly and extremely accommodating and the booking system is seamless. Seven stars out of five!
Gem
This has got to be the best looked after golf course on the north side of the city.
Country Feel to In City Golf Course
Learned to golf there years ago when I was in my 20s. Now that I am retired, I have seen the changes and still enjoy golfing there. Rose, the Pro Shop Staff is still there after all these years. The promotional rate was a great deal which included the golf cart. The course is in good condition and playing midday, there was no one holding us up and hardly anyone behind us. The gas golf carts need to be upgraded. No beverage cart service. Did not have an opportunity to check out the food at the Clubhouse. Will certainly be back.
They didn’t receive our booking through golf now - and the lady who served us was rather salty and unpleasant compared to other tones going. It’s definitely discouraging to go again.
Twin Willows in Stellar Shape!
The course is in Stellar Shape. The greens are great. The fairway is lush making it very easy to hit the ball. The staff has really cleaned up the rough making it very easy to find your ball. Tee off boxes in great shape as well.
Great condition.
The course is in very good shape. I would say above average condition. Speed of play was excellent as it wasn't that busy mid week in the afternoon. I front 9 and back 9 are quite different so it's a nice change. I would say it's a medium degree of difficulty so good for all levels.
This course is enjoyable to play
Course is in good condition, good greens. trouble lurks if you are not care full. Try it, I think you'll like it.
Great course
Great course, in wonderful condition, but the pace of play is way too slow. Our tee time was for 11am, we didnt tee off until almost 11:30 and didnt finish the round till 4:30pm
Eddie
Course was in good condition throughout. Pace could be improved as some players don't allow faster paced players through.
Good course, slow reception
I like twin willows but it took wayyyyyy to long to check in. It's a basic course, player friendly but good condition
Very Forgiving Course
It's a very walkable course that has wide fairways that allows for a playable ball when it didn't quite go as expected.
All good
Old part of the course was very nice. All the greens were in great shape. All in all was a great valued course. Try it
Fun day
I hooked up with a 3 some. Had a blast. Can't beat golfnow deal.
Sorry I spent the money
Every time we play this course we get behind duffers with no golf etiquette. This time we got paired up with a couple. Slow doesn't begin to describe them. They would leave their cart all over the fairway then walk over to one persons ball then back to the cart for a club. You get the picture. Then they were tossing their beer cans on the fairway and we had to pick up after them. These men were in their sixties like a lot of the people who frequent this course. We ditched them after nine and had a better round after that, but for $120+ for two people, next time I'll pay another $20 and play a nice course.
