Quail Hollow Golf Course, located in Wesley Chapel, sits a convenient five minutes off of I-75 and state road 54. This championship course, designed by Charles E. Griffin, has been a favorite of Tampa locals since opening in 1965. The layout underwent major renovations in 2011 that totally reconditioned the greens and fairways as well as partially rebuilt it to make it more challenging. Bunkers were both reshaped and added. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and the large bunkers are strategically placed along the greensides. The golf course is demanding at times and will test your shot-making skills, but it is a fair challenge that is not too intimidating for beginners. Four sets of tees make it even more approachable for a range of skill levels.

The course was in bad shape. Fairway and green were bad. Lot of weeds in the fairways and brown patches on the greens
Last chance to play here
Fun easy course. Closing in about 6 weeks. Last minute pricing is a bargain.
Of course there are some rough spots but they still mow Abe the greens are fast and interesting.
Play here just to say goodbye.
Friendly course for the average player
Friendly course for the average golfer. Open fairways and accessible greens.
Good value for the $$$$$
The course could use some TLC. The fairways are hard. The greens need some care. And they could use a beverage person out driving the course. But that being said for $30 its a good deal. The pace of play was exceptional. It's not my first time playing Quail Hollow and won't be my last.
Terrible Green Condition
I have played this round every year for the past four years on my time in Florida.
The conditions this year were terrible . Fairways full of weeds and the greens were all brown and patchy.
Sad shape
Unfortunately the hot weather for the past several weeks has had a bad effect on the winter rye. Most greens or patchy or lacking adequate dress. The course is trying its best to provide a level putting surface but several courses have spar e cover.
The tease fairways and sand traps are still in decent condition but it will take some time for the Bermuda to grow in.
Quail Hollow Golf
Course has an enjoyable layout and room for some forgiving shots. While there is some water throughout the course, generally it can be avoided and not to challenging to carry for the average golfer. Be aware that the course is scheduled to close at the end of May, and so there is quite a bit of “non-golf” related activity going on at times. We experienced to separate rounds where a hole or two were closed due to soil samples or surveying going on. There are now MANY (hundreds) of small flags marking off areas, sometimes directly accross a fairway. It appears that ongoing maintanence might be scaled back and management of the course winds down, and the greens are starting to show lack of attention and care. With all of that said, playing a round here is still enjoyable and well worth the fees for golfer plus cart. I will continue to play around here occasionally as my foursome does enjoy the course layout. Let’s hope that at least minimal maintenance continues through May to make that possible. Give it a try!
CAN'T BELIEVE IT
Love this course. We drive from Lakeland a few times a yr to play it. COULDN'T BELIEVE IT WHEN WE HEARD THEY ARE PLOWING IT UNDER FOR HOMES !!!! no no nio !!!!!! Want to build more homes go find a field somewhere - not this great golf course. SICKENING.
Good course for all skill levels
Quail Hollow's layout is good for beginners, intermediate, and skill players. Pick tees that challenge your game, plenty to choose from. Greens were very smooth and rolled nicely even though some are still growing in from the cold January. Staff in club house did a good job prior to teeing off as well as afterwards. Go play Quail Hollow, great value and a good experience await you!
Good round
Much improved from three months ago when we said we wouldn'the play here again. Stopped in and talked to some foursomes a week ago and they said it was a-okay so we tried it out. It's a-okay now.
Course is in Good Shape just in time for it to Close
I’ve been playing this course for the past 3 years, it’s currently in the best shape I’ve seen it just in time for the course to close it’s doors in May for good. That’s a shame.
A course that is getting better. A fun course to play with some friends and not be too stressed about the difficulty of the course..
Great course for great price
Love this course and its in great condition greens are a little slow but smooth
Great Value
Greens well cared for. For the price you would have a hard time beating this place.
slow play
flew through the front nine, back took forever. Twosome in front of of were not there on the front and took forever to play
In great shape
Great round, we got out early. Greens were a little slow, but they were damp. Course is in good shape considering this time of year.. 2nd time I've played this course, good layout..
