St. Paul G&CC, finally got that "hole in one"

A great fall day for a round of golf with sunny skies, a light breeze & good company. A quick check in with the pro shop staff & cruised right up to the 1st tee box. Firm fairways, light rough, bunkers & water hazards all in the right places. The large, undulating greens were recently punched so that made for some bumpy runs at the cup but overall course conditions were fairly good.

I've played here off & on for decades but one of my more memorable games at the St. Paul G&CC came on June 11, 2017 when I finally scored that elusive ace on their signature hole, Hole 8, Par 3, 179 yds. It scoped out to 172 yds that day with a left to right tailwind so I trusted my swing with 7 iron in hand & made a perfect shot that found it's way to the bottom of the cup.
